Water cold and semi clear - fish not yet shallow - 03/10/20 10:42 AM
Took the boat out for the first time this year. The surface water was in the low 40's and I could see down to the bottom in 6'. The day was bright and sunny and a 10 mph wind wasn't a problem- finding fish was. In my pond the bite is also slow but at least I caught one of each: bass, crappie and a sunfish.
Seeing as how I didn't see fish on the finder in deep or shallow water or casting small lures all over the place, I can only assume I wasn't searching the right areas. Toward the end of the trip (cut short due zero bites), I did see some fish right on bottom in 10'. Hopefully when the water gets above 50 at night, maybe an increase in fish metabolism and the spawn will get things back to normal.
