LOP special through Feb 9th!

LOP special through Feb 9th! - 01/30/20 03:00 PM

I'm running a special through Next Sunday for Pines trips. Full day trip for 2 for 1/2 day price. Tournament season starts after that so I'm limited on when I can go but feel free to check on dates and lakes. I currently have Sunday and next weekend available and can work a weekday in with notice. Fishing has been great there this winter and the size is unbelievable! Last Sunday's trip was probably my best ever for a 7 fish stringer. BFOD hit the marina scale at 2.95.

Holler if you wanna chase some big fish! This is trophy season!

So, slew foot...remind me again, because I forget...best I recall, I owe you some coolaide, from Murval! If so, I will try to bring some, but forget what color....I understand we will be fishing together this weekend, and I want to make things right! Here is the deal though, I will ONLY bring extra, if you can put us on some BIG fish...just saying...what ya got? So, is it Fork or LOP? My buddy TBox, scoffs at any mention of a lake in Texas, OTHER than Fork...personally, I have NO opinion, but all I can say, is put your best foot forward...cause Tbox is watching!

Oh, BTW...is Little Man going to be joining us? I hope so! He is my guy. And keep in mind, I might have to write a story...if he is in the boat....seriously, he is the face of crappie fishing future!

Messages returned!

Lmao! Travis is correct! I’m leaving little man at home! I’d have to bring him his own livescope and set him in the back of the boat and whenever you caught one he would be standing on your toes elbowing you in the ribs telling you to move cause he’s trying to fish there!! roflmao

Mommas got him on lockdown for a week! Apparently his recollection of how his week at school has been going is much different than his math teachers who called the house last night! scared

I told him the only time it’s ok to not tell the truth is at weight in but he’s forgot about that I guess! He’s got his hands full. Mommas little bit she’s mean!! wife

LOP showed out again this weekend! Cleaned limits both days and multiple 2 pounders each trip! Jim wanted to learn Livescope Sat and his fishing buddies backed out because it was cold so we went to work bearing up big slabs! After the 2nd or 3rd 2 pound pic he text his buddies they were all calling him and he let it go to voicemail! roflmao

Sunday I had a couple forum meat hunters on the sled and we cut up and had a good time all morning and 50 slabs hit the cleaning table with our best 7 around 15.5 pounds. They Were worried I would run down they batteries in my scale but eventually caved and started slinging 2 pounders over the rails with the Jenko Kevin Rogers signature series rods! Finally broke off a Constant Pursuit Outfitters thump chubby I’ve had tied on for 4 trips! No telling how many fish it has caught. Anybody that knows me can attest that 4 trips with the same bait is quite an accomplishment.

Anyhow! Thanks for the fun weekend slab slinging y’all! Enjoyed it thoroughly! Call or message me for availability, I might have some weekdays I can fish but weekends are pretty busy right now. I’m gonna keep this going till I feel it’s played out then move back to Palestine!

Why did you have to go and stir him up on that subject?? He held his own for sure but I definitely put it on him for big fish!! I’m sure he will blame front ending on that too even if I wasn’t the one running the trolling motor......The trip was fantastic. Slewfoot is extremely knowledgeable and is also a blast to fish with.

Bushhog, buddy...Cole now UNDERSTANDS just how bad he front ends me! Heck, ole Slewfoot had to call for some menners, just so ole Cole could, use them to try to catch up!

The coolest thing I learned this weekend, is that when Slewfoot is running the livescope...I can see when to stop my jig, in front of a crappies nose!...heck Cole had me believing I could only watch it drop the first five feet, and that should be enough to guess where to stop it!

I had knee high rubber boots in the boat! Glad I did!!!! Crapicat is still probably working up my final summary of what all is wrong with my equipment! That said he fished with it all day so it must not be too bad!
roflmao

It was an entertaining day for sure! If little man woulda been there I woulda needed chest waders between him and Dale!!! He remembered Dale from Murvaul when he saw the picture! Said that's the guy that was drinking your beer!!! roflmao cheers

I said he replaced it!! Can you believe that? He said well that's good, I wasn't expecting that! Little turkey can't remember to clean his room after I ask him 3x but can recall when and where and what I was doing everytime I've broken one of his rods!! hammer

He's a mess! nuts

Ken, recall how the top of this thread said 1/2 price special? Well, to be honest AND best I recall, somehow it seemed to change, to a “Weekend Special” price... is, I am NOT SURE what that means; HOWEVER, I suspect it meant...OH NO, NOT those smartazz crappie meathunters...I MUST charge them the Jim Zumbo RATE! So, I suspect your comments are well founded, in fact! Indeed, stay tuned for an upcoming thread discussing that trip!

Guys this deal is a full day for 1/2 day price. Normal price is $350 for a half day and $500 for a full day. Your getting a full day fishing if needed for the 1/2 day price. That said I don't think I have anything available right now. Today was another awesome day! 13 fish over 2 pounds! Will put up the report later!! cheers

At Pines right now you have to keep everything you catch. Trips over when we get to 50 assuming 2 people are in the boat.

I can assure you the trip is worth the price of admission whether the trip is half a day long or all day. . Slew worked his tail off all day and was more than accommodating. The trip was not only entertaining but also educational so long as you are willing to pay attention and pick up on the details.

I should have wrote all this down when it happened so I would remember but Friday I had Brian and Aaron our to chase some LOP slabs and they stroked em! It was a day I won’t forget and I doubt they will either! It didn’t take them long at all to get the Lovescope down and start slinging fish over the rails with the Jenko KRs and the Thump Chubbies! They had 16.30 I think on 7 fish with the top a 2.46 and we were culling a 2.22 best I recall. We had 13 or 14 fish over 2 pounds when fish number 50 hit the cooler! I think they won’t be as happy with Joe Pool crappie after this!! [Linked Image]

Re: LOP special through Feb 9th! - 02/10/20 12:23 AM

Sat Vaughan brought his dad Frank and his brother Dayton to check out livescope and catch some crappie. They mostly bass fished so this was all new to them! Sat was much tougher and we only saw a fraction of the fish we saw of Friday but they still got some bends in the Kevin Rogers rods. Hand tie had the big fish of the day at 2.66 and we were culling a 2.16! 16.20 on 7 and a cooler full of slabs headed back to Spring Hill for a fish fry! [Linked Image]

Re: LOP special through Feb 9th! - 02/10/20 12:34 AM

Today was Danny and Collin and Danny has put Livescope on his boat this week but had never used it so we worked on getting them dialed in on livescope and explained how I do my settings and what to look for! Right off the bat a couple fish read the script and did it like they should and after that the wind beat us down! We still managed 4 quart bags of fillets and over 14 pounds on 7 fish with a 2.60 kicker fish we chased down as the highlight of the day! I gave them some tips on keeping crappie alive as they fish some CAT tournaments. Look forward to seeing them this year! Thanks all of y’all for fishing with me! I might have a weekday here and there available still this month but outside of that I don’t have any weekend available! Looking to get to Lake D’Arbonne and see what happens!!

If you pay $500 for a full day trip for 2 your gonna get a full day fishing. That said I won't take a full day price right now on Pines because you have to keep every fish you catch, hence the special. Sunday March 1st is the only weekend date I might have available in near future currently. I have some limited weekdays available though.

Thanks! fish

Never been there! Heard it's a good crappie lake though! Prefishing there this weekend and then go back next weekend for Crappie Masters assuming the lake doesn't flood out. Went to Palestine yesterday afternoon for the first time in 5 weeks. Didn't catch many but had some solid fish. Had a 2.00, 2.24, and a 2.35 once I found em!
