Lewisville...Oh my goodness - 11/26/19 09:43 PM
Lewisville crappie have grown up. Most fish caught are legal and many are 13"-15". Average 4 hour trip producing 40-80 fish with half over 12".
Brushpiles and submerged timber holding big schools of fish. The trick is getting them to bite. (Livescope Rules) Rarely are we getting more than 4-5 off a pile even though
many more are there. The medium sized ones are mostly on top of the brush but the really big ones are often on the sides or ends on the bottom.
Sometimes 4'-8' away from the brush.
Hottest bait for me has been a 1.5" solid white body with the tail dipped in chart dye. However most any color works most of the time.
I don.t know how long they will stay there but I'm sure enjoying it for now.
Sunday, (incredible) 82 caught and released. 6 over 2# (Est)
Monday slower, only 41 caught, 3 over 2#. Still a good day.
