Days like this don't happen often in the spring and it was definitely a first for me in September! On the Saturday my partner and I livescoped our way to a win in the Crappie Fishing Fools tournament on Fork with 13.09 on 7 and a 2.41 big fish. We had 4inches of rain during tournament hours and the next day 2 of my runs were completely void of fish and bait. Checked one of my “fall” areas and there were single fish on every other pole tree. I shopped around for big fish in 9-13 foot of water and it was unbelievable. 4 fish 2.32, 2.48, 2.40 and a 2.33. When I got to the cleaning station I had one more giant in the same size range I somehow missed and 4 more hovering around the 2lb mark. Absolutely insane. All the big fish were stuffed full of threadfin shad. Fish were certified at Lake Fork Marina.

Great job and win.

A lot of great fishermen competed so you should be proud.

We fished it and ended in 9th which wasn't as bad as I thought we would do because I got water in my remote and it quit working in the first hour from all the rain. We had to fish the timber using the bow graph to control the trolling motor which proved to be difficult at the time. Then we weighed the wrong big fish which was a 1.98. Man that lake gives up some big ones.
