Crappie Tournament on Ray Hubbard

I was planning on coming over for this.
I have never fished Hubbard or fished a tournament but wanted to support the lodge.
If I am reading the rules right, I am not allowed to fish it as I sale trips on LOP.
Is that correct?

Marty, that is how I am reading it. If you are a guide and take money you are not eligible under rule #1.

That pretty much eliminates everyone I know that fishes tournaments. They all sale trip to help pay for all the toys they have bought

I haven't read the rules, but what is "sale trip"? Never heard that term before..

Sell trips. Getting paid to take someone fishing. i.e. guiding.

Well heck, maybe I should partake since there are no "pros"!

Hey Marty. We wrote this rule in to hopefully make it a little more level for the weekend angler.. Definitely nothing personal. A professional, paid or for hire guild is someone who takes a fee or payment to take a client or customer fishing.; and being a full or part time job. Two buddies splitting gas and lunch is completed ok.

Would love to fish it, but my tournament partner is a part time guide and I used to guide a couple years back.
