Introduced a couple of ..... - 05/28/19 04:13 AM
youngsters to crappie fishing. My niece had mentioned that her oldest "wished" to go fishing for his 5th birthday. Well it turned into taking little brother Tucker as well. I finally resorted to putting a slip bobber on George Ray's rod so I could tell him when to reel. Tucker was ok for the first 30 minutes then he was like a racoon and in to everything. Didn't catch many fish but they had fun and took home enough fillets for Momma and Tucker's twin sister Emme to have a nice little fish fry.
George Ray="Best day ever".
Tucker="I just like to drive the boat".
Teaching your Great Nephews about the right kind of addiction=Priceless
And yes, Uncle Kelly let one of GR's keepers flop out of the boat while trying to measure it.
Today I took my former neighbor (Retired Captain with TPWD) who now lives on one of the creeks that feeds into the lake. We ended up with 40 today and had a great time. He wanted me to educate him on how I go about crappie fishing.
