3N | Trust Him

Well Monday was a big fish beat down with Rodney and his friend Connie on Lake Palestine.

Palestine through us a good north east wind 10 to 20 first thing out of the box.
As I ran over in my mind what I was going to do. Knowing it was going to be a tough day. I had a spot I’ve been catching big fish in, but was hard to get the numbers. With the winds the way they were I silently asked the good Lord just give me 30 fish and I’ll be happy.

Being the hardheaded person I am we started in a different spot, but left soon after being unable to keep the trolling motor in the water because of the wind.

So we headed north up the lake to the big fish spot. And begin working it hard and pick them off one by one. Nothing fast and furious but just a slow steady bite.

Same pattern I’ve been on all winter open water 35 to 45 foot fishing 20 to 25 foot deep chasing Schools of the Crappie.

We ended are day with 50 big slab Crappie. 5 of them we’re over 2 pounds each.

See guys that’s the goodness of God !!! Sometimes we are unsure and negative in are ways of thinking. But we have to learn to trust in him. I have learned to trust in him more than ever now since being a full-time crappie guide. And that’s all we’re called to do. The rest of it God will handle.

I asked for 30 crappie and we limited out with 50 Monster Crappie!!! Are cup ( cooler )runneth over!!!👍

the great thing is, the more you trust and depend on Jesus, the more involved he gets and provides.
An old woman who used to fish a cane pole for perch back in louisiana at a pond all the locals went to, she would sit on a 5 gallon bucket sipping little miller lite ponies. She told me something that has stuck with me.
she said.. " You can put your trust in God, or you can worry abt your problems, but you caint do both cher.. "
When things get overwhelming or seem impossible, God can make quick work of things we think are impossible.

if you dont know how to pray just say, God, you have given me a great mind, and many talents, yet this problem or task that is before me, IT IS OVERWHELMING ME, I cannot accomplish it without your help. I lay it down at your feet, and ask you to take care of this. whatever the outcome, I trust it is what is best for me. you always know whats best for me. you are the alpha and the omega, the lion and the lamb, your are always good.. let your will be done. Amen.

Then just do the best you can, and dont worry abt it. PRAYER DOES CHANGE THINGS!!
