If ya have no, zero, nada, experience dock shooting.. what length is recommended ?

I would try a proangler 5 1/2'. This is a very sweet rod. I also shoot with a proangler 6 1/2' and a B'n'M sharpshooter 6'.

My first time dock shooting was just a few weeks ago, I used my regular ole 7' 6" St Croix Med-Light rod and did just fine with it.

I like using my 7 foot rods but keep a couple shorter ones in the boat for close quarters fishing. Sends chills down my spine when I slap a dock with one of my 7 ft. Boneheads. I like a light action, fast tip rod.
