Any help on Lake Proctor? - 07/12/18 03:35 AM

A couple of buddies & I are going to Lake Proctor for a couple of days and would appreciate any advise we could get. We're not very familiar with the lake.

Thanks,

Fergy

Crappie holding on deep main lake brush 12'to 20'of water, drop to the bottom and slowly raise and lower your jig or minnow. Lake is down 5 foot and falling so be careful. Google TPWD fish habitat locations, a good number were dropped spring of 2017, trees and moss back artificial structure.

Don, thanks for the information. It was very helpful.

It took some searching, but we finally got on some good crappie. This was my first time fishing Proctor, but I think we'll be making return trips when it cools off a little.

Lots of folks overlook fall and winter crappie fishing. Proctor is excellent in fall and winter plus the added bonus of no jet skies, tubers, skiers, ect.
