Windy day on Cleburne - 05/13/18 06:57 PM
Fished for a few hours yesterday and caught about 60, 4 of which where under 10” average size is well below what last year was but still good catching. Only had 10 that were over 1lb. Fish were in 15’ of water and the jig of choice was a clear jig with Gold flake. Half of the females still had eggs. Kept a one man limit and threw the rest back. Average size was 11”.

My dad and I went on May 2nd. We caught 21 in 3 hours before the wind blew us off the lake. I agree with you, the quality of the fish is less than last year. May have something to do with the hybrids TPWD put in there. Sounds like the bite was definitely on for you.

If you have to have minnows the store across from the middle school sells minnows if you’re launching at the golf course.
