Daughter week last week!

My middle daughter(only fishergal of 3) took a weeks vacation last week to fish several of the area lakes with dad. She loves to fish and loves frying fish.....so she wanted a fish fry and to take fish home with her. We had some wind last week, but she stuck it out and we caught a ton of fish. She has only fished Belton with me in the past, so we were going to take some road trips. She is a minner gal, but I got her weaned the first day. We fished Jerry's Jigs and Laner's jigs exclusively. The common factor everywhere we fished was brush pile fish tight to the brush or near bottom. All the smaller fish were still full of roe. We had no problem maxing her out with fish!!!! She DID put a dent in my jig supply, but that was expected. She was already checking her schedule for later this summer. That timber fishing on Limestone has her big eyed!!!! Maybe this summer the wind will die down!






I used mostly Laner's froggies with a willow leaf blade. Ol' Redgun fixed me up with some various horsehead jigs in the past and I really enjoy fishing with them also. But Becca had equal success hooking up with a hot number from Jerry Taylor!!! She just had a little trouble getting some IN THE BOAT!! BTW.....you cannot reel a crappie through the tip eye of a 10' pole and if they are 14' deep....you have to use the reel at some point because the line gets all over the boat!!!!

Great job Dad. My daughter is my favorite person to fish with. Unfortunately, we don't get to do it very often with her just finishing up her Jr. year of college, working and doing observation hours for her selected field.

Yep!! She is busy with work and only gets 3-4 trips home a year! Even though she is older than most the young men on here, she still spent a vacation with the ol' man!!!

Good stuff. Well, except for the Rangers shirt. Mine would be wearing an Astros shirt. She took next Friday off and is coming home. Hopefully we will get our first crappie trip of the year.
