Fork and Lavon - 05/10/18 01:10 AM

Ran trips on Fork over the weekend. Caught lots of fish on standing timber, stumps and a few brush piles. Better fish came off timber in 14-28’ water suspended 2-12’ deep. Most bites are coming on the fall. Had a 2.71# on Sunday. Lots of big fish. Nothing like dipping trees on Fork! White/Chartreuse jigs tipped with a minnow was the weapon of choice. Laugh at the “minnow” part if you want cool fish are starting to move out on their summer stuff. It will only get better from here.

Been on Lavon last 2 days. Had 40 yesterday and over 100 keepers today. Wind kept us off a lot of the good stuff but found a little pattern to run that is producing numbers and an occasional good fish. 1.75# was big fish today. Most the last 2 days have came 3-6’ on outside willow lines on main lake and points. Further I move up in the coves the less bites I am getting. If the wind would allow me to get out on some offshore stuff I could up the quality a bunch. White/Chart jigs.
I have next Thursday morning 17th open on either lake.
