I got my new hydro-foil installed and now just need to get on the water. I'll report back my findings.

Why you need that if Mine jumped on plane any faster I don't know what I'd do

they help keep you from tearing your lower unit up when idling around stumps and trees was the best thing I found abt them.

I really didn't have any issues with the hole shot but I do like to run heavy and it should offset that. It will also let me stay on plane longer at slower speeds and it is supposed to help with boat control at higher speeds. We will see.

Must be those livewells full of fish keeping you from getting on plane!

Update on the Hydrofoil - this thing is bad-a--!!!

Hole shot was improved and I can stay on plane to around 15 mph with a 18' 8" bassboat that was fully loaded.

Biggest improvement was when I was running fairly hard (50-62 mph) and it seemed to take the 'roll' from side to side out.

Highly recommend it even if you don't really need one.
