Color change

sure seemed to make a difference today. I was getting a few bumps on a 1/16th white/chartreuse jig until I changed to a 1/8th black/chartreuse and it was "thump city". Almost every cast produced a bite. I'm not sure if it was the color or the rate of fall but something turned them on. My first limit on Martin Creek lake this year. Water visibility was good (about 3ft.) for all the rain we've had. I didn't look at the temp but being in the hot water I'm sure it was in the high 70's.
I've been having computer problems so I can't post any pics until I get it figured out. taz

computer problems...maybe that is why I can’t seem to post pics, either...all this time I just chalked it up computer ignorance.

So you changed from white to black and from 1/16 to 1/8? Same depth? Same jig body style? Same size body, and hook size?

Yep, just different color and size. The only reason I changed jigs was I hooked something really big with the white jig and after 5 minutes of playing tug of war it broke off. The wind was getting tough so I went to a larger jig and just opted for black. I'd have never thunk it!

A wise sage (Dutch1947) once said it best, color doesn't matter till it does.
