Color doesn't matter IMO. Any color that you think looks good will work.

It's size and action on Hubbard. Smaller baits do best. Specifically the baits that have appendages on them that help the bait fall slower. BH Stump Bugs are my go to Hubbard. The brush Glider is great as well.

Presentation is key on Hubbard. I primarily fish submerged timber and the crappie bite best while pitching a jig out and slow falling it back towards the boat threw the timber.

Can't go wrong with Bluegrass or Silver Shad colors.

During the summer we've always had luck on black/chartreuse, white chartreuse, and just plain old white. Anything that will impersonate a small shad. If you need any help send me a PM. What fishin'aholic2 said was very true as well. I feel like half the time I got bit it was on the fall, so try to use baits that fall slow and give the thumpers a chance to snatch it. Those are always my favorite bites
