They seem to have moved out of the creeks. We’re marking fish on trees and brush piles but they have lock jaw. Any suggestions?
Spawned out crappie, can be hard to catch, at times...they will eat heavily after they get over the rigors of spawning...to up your odds...go sceine the some minnows at the boat ramp and use them...the crappie will eat them even if they pass on the Jigs and store bought menners...

Yea, crappie spawn over a couple different times ie., March/April or April/May depending on conditions and the lake in particular...so it is possible to catchspawned out crappie in deeper water and spawners from shallow to right beside the spawned out crappie.
Leaning post will suggest lots of crappie spawn in deep water and there is research to support his contention.
