It'll be raining all day tomorrow...will they bite during a heavy rain? I'll be fishing under a covered dock.

An old man told me once, "they live in the water so why would they care". He also wouldn't drink water, just beer because, " you know what them fish do in the water".

Seriously, I've caught fish in the rain.

welcome

So, I have caught many fish in a heavy rain over the years, IMO they will...now the question if you want to get out there and get them during a heavy rain...with a covered dock, why not? Beats watching television...

I've caught the most I've ever had in rain. I would imagine as long as your safe go for it

BtW Boatner, there is a difference between fishing in the rain and fishing in a thunderstorm...when the lightning starts popping, it is time to get the lightning rod (fishing pole) out of your hand and get off the water...now under a covered dock is a bit different...just put the rod down when the lightning is near you, and until it passes by, then go back to fishing....

Sure they will bite during rain and T storms. As with all fishing, never say always, never say never.

No issues at all fishing in a storm in a covered dock. Can either spook the fish or turn them on depending on the circumstances, but usually it is certainly an improvement.

Storm usually means falling barometer, which equates to a better bite.
