Strong Finish

To a very poor start

Friday 2-2-18

Due to a misleading report (redsnappa)
Hickory Nut & I launched at a small local lake
By 11am, we had boated 1 keeper, 1 dink and 2 bass
We loaded the boat and took off to Bob Sandlin.
The fishing was very good for a little over an hour, then it slowed drastically



We quit with 21 in the box



Having not quite satisfied the itch, we made plans to go again Sunday.

Sunday 2-4-18

We launched at another small local lake around 9am.
Graphed around some, found the best concentration of fish, then started jerking some lips



Hickory Nut was doing better straight jigging, but I was having so much fun with a Jig & Cork, it was hard to put it down.
I caught most of mine with a Jig & Cork, including this Monster Ditch Pickle



Stuck # 50 and even caught a couple more to make sure that itch was taken care of

Here's 50 that wouldn't fit in a regular sized cooler



Weather (Wind) is supposed to be good Thursday & Friday, guess I'll go out here on Fork and see if I can find some.

Nice work as always! I'm waiting to get my boat repowered so I can get back on the water and it's killing me. Maybe next week it'll be done so I can get in my thumps for the month.

It was a great day to be on the lake for sure. Somebody posted a while back asking if anyone ever caught a big black nose crappie. I had two on this trip that were huge. Here is a pic of one and there was another bigger than this one.

What's up with the gloves??? Not used to having fish slime on your hands??
