Crappie on Lake Austin

I've never caught Crappie on Lake Austin before. I was actually going for whitebass but have been catching a few Crappie in the river channel (45 feet deep). We didn't really plan on keeping fish; but being as deep as they were, most of them would die once released. Fun fishing though.

How is the white bass fishing on Austin? I have only caught a few whites out there. Spoons?

Nice fish. Sometimes a surprise is good.

Harleyrockstar: We were using little 2.5" Lunker City Fin-s shads and worked them at the bottom with light tackle.

On this trip, we also hooked onto a 5 pounder, couple of 4's and a 2 pounder mixed in with the crappie. Youtube video below.
