I know this has been up before but can't remember. What knots for loops and for connecting braid to fluorocarbon? Just getting back to Crappie fishing after a long layoff and getting away from Minnows.

FG Knot for connecting braid to leader.

It takes a little practice to get it right, but it is a fantastic knot.

Look it up on YouTube. Salt Strong and Flukemaster have good how-to videos.

I have used the very easy to tie surgeons knot with five turns for years with no problems.

Since I don't think a crappie is going to spool me where I fish I use an Alberto knot on my crappie reels and a double uni on bass and saltwater reels.
