No fish In lake Leon keep looking ..
I have had the best experience dock shooting on Leon, and have caught lots of good crappie, at both La Mancha and docks near the dam. Great crappie lake.

thanks guys. Leon is my favorite place to catch crappie where I dont have to drag my boat.
Lots of good memories fishing those slips. especially when its freezing and windy!

hadn't been to leon in year and years. Do you have public access to fish those docks?
There is boat dock by the dam, public, cost $3, I think. Be aware the boat launch is pretty shallow so wear waders because you have to back in a good ways to get the boat to float off the trailer. There is a boat launch at La Mancha, I have never use it but looks decent. Finally, there is a boat launch on some highway west of the dam, by a good size bridge, not sure what highway it is, anyway it looks good too, just a long way from the dam by boat. I have not been to that highway so I am not sure what highway it is, I have boated to it, just have to be careful because from the bridge going towards them dam, there are a lot of trees under the water for about 3/10ths of a mile. Will have to go back and try to fish those as I have never done that.

Went Monday, bite was very slow. 8 keepers was the most anyone had.
It’s been slow since the week before thanksgiving.
Leon picked up this morning. The boys had fun.
