There is a Rubys Mexican restaurant in Tyler on Gentry pkwy that has a very similar plate that is absolutely excellent.

google "views on the road" and see their recipe. i did it and i was drinking the broth. a great way to cook and stretch it out for 2 or 3 days. not to mention delicious.

There is a place here in Gilmer that does them. Best thing ever.

I made some yesterday for the first time. Gonna make me some tacos tonight.

I love those. There is a relatively new restaurant here in Arlington (TIC TACO) that does them and they are great!

made this twice and loved it. got my recipe from a u tube video"views on the road". long winded video, but worth the time.

#1 with 2 beef and 2 shrimp.

I fixed the tacos and then tried the consommé with the meat, cilantro and onions. They were both good, but consommé is the Bomb.

Just had them for the first time last week at Tacos y Mas.

Texas Bucket List showed some at Tingys in McAllen. If you’re down this way I say make the stop. Well worth it!

Trompitoz in Princeton TX makes awesome birria tacos. It's in a gas station so you know it's legit.

I cooked the meat / consommé a while back and they turned out great. Lots of work and ingredients though. I used short ribs and Chuck roast for the meat. I actually prefer Carne Adovada tacos more. Similar ingredients but use pork butts that you can almost always for .99 cents lb.

Taqueria Nuevo León located in Carrollton, Garland and Richardson serves Birria Tacos and they are excellent,

Better yet are the Birria Tacos at Rayos Taquería in Northeast Dallas.

I heard Hurtados birria tacos were top notch. Wish they were still in Little Elm.

I never tried Birria tacos and I just asked my wife if she knew what they were. She had the Quesa-Birria street tacos at Cruzitos in Rowlett and said they were great. Next time we go there I'll have to try them. Thanks for sharing!
