Mountain Dew during a tournament

Just curious, Does mountain dew supposedly give you more energy thru out the day?

I have an old friend who use to have one of those big plastic 7-11 mugs he would pack with ice and sip a 2 liter of mountain dew a day. He's now a diabetic and has some kidney issues. Cant confirm Mountain Dew was the culprit but I'm sure it didn't help none.
He can't even fish any more cause he has bad knees and back.

Diet Dew is one of the finest things made.

I agree for a quick pick-me-up. Dew has more caffeine per ounce than most sodas. It was a big surprise to a lot of parent that used to give it to their kids instead of Sprite.

And I know by experience one hot summer during a tournament all I had to drink on the boat was Mtn Dew
And I got dehydrated and almost passed out if it wasn't for my boater I would have fell into the lake and drowned .

Drink 3 a day during tournaments! It's a necessity in my boat!

Mountain Dew was one of my addictions at one time. I gave it up along with giving up snuff.

5 hour will keep you up... Mountain dew does to some degree. One reason I run the trolling motor is it keeps me awake. If I am in the back seat I am off to sleep land. One the way home I drink a 5 hour and I don't blink the whole way home.

Too funny

It has more caffeine than other sodas so it does to an extent. I stock my boat with it cause it just tastes so dang good.

Why not drink Jolt cola?

I went to have my teeth cleaned bout a year ago. I walked in with a mountain dew.i thought the dentist was gonna cry, he just kept telling me how bad it is for your teeth. I felt bad for him cause he was really upset. But I still drink it.

It does help stop the bleeding on fish but the only soda bottles in my boat are filled with water and frozen and in the live well!

Might give you a quick boost. However, I wouldn't drink it in the summer. Drinking caffeine will get you dehydrated real fast.

Use it as an additive in my fuel , it helps in my beater motor .

several years ago was fishing a BFL on Lay lake in Alabama....my no boater was 16-17 year old kid and first thing he did when he got in boat was turn up one of those tall cans of Red Bull and guzzle it down...then he puts about half a can of Copenhagen under his lip and announces he was ready to go fishing,,,,actually he was probably more ready to climb mountains or rassle alligators than catch a fish....we were fishing shallow water in back of a creek and that dude would make two casts then jump down and stitch baits and continually hopping around from one side of the boat to the other...finally I had to tell him to cut all that out because he was scaring the fish...he did but I could tell it was a struggle til some of the buzz wore off.....

Mountain Dew is like medicine. Cures an upset stomach in a minute. First thing I grab when not feeling well. By the way can anyone recall what the name of Mountain Dew was when it first came out.

Always been Mountain Dew. Was invented as a mixer to go with moonshine. Mountain Dew was a slang name for moonshine produced in the Tennessee mountains, I do believe. And "it'll tickle your innards".

I dont drink soda hardly at all anymore, it was the main reason I got to 350+ lbs, that and cheezburgers...and fries....and gravy...and ice cream...and mexican food....and snickers...and FUNYONS

I drank Dew when I was on the wagon. Regular made me fat. Diet jacked up my complexion. Decided beer was healthier.

Mountain Dew is one of the worst commonly sold soft drinks you can drink. Loaded with bad stuff. I love them but gave them up come down turkey. Diet Mt Dew is worse. Most diet soft drinks are worse due to all the artificial sweeteners.
