We were standing in the parking lot watching some of the pros get their boats ready for the next day, in Corsicana 1996. David Dudley had one bad battery and borrowed mine to fish the next day.
As he was putting it in his boat he reached over and picked up a small dead bird from the floor of his boat. His remark was that he remembered backlashing but did not know why. The bird may have been hit by his lure.

Saw it happen one day on the golf course. The feather explosion wasn't that spectacular, but we saw the ball and the bird fall out of the sky.
