Have you lost any parts or had replacements? I'm down an appendix and a molar.

Forgot about my tonsils and wisdom teeth.

Had my prostate removed 3/5/24 (cancer). Had the catheter removed seven days later. Now I’m just pi$$ing on myself. Kinda humiliating, supposed to get better but we’ll see. Guess I didn’t realize how important the prostate is?

Those catheters are the worst! you will get control back. I think we all have the same issue after removal of it.

All OEM, except for Full upper & lower dentures. There's a stent (?) in a vein near my heart that wasn't there at birth.

Still have an atrial septum defect from birth.

no hair at the scalpal level, but my Santa beard is coming along nicely.

Re: Are you still original? - 03/17/24 12:13 AM

I have been very lucky. (Knock on wood) However, I was born with what I consider to be a defective set of teeth. Thousands of dollars spent throughout my youth. Had all of them replaced 2 years ago.

All OEM...except for one cataract lens. Won the cancer lottery twice, prostate and esophageal..no surgeries, but that's it...and that's F'ing enough..!! I'm 72 and plan on hitting 80...after that I'll roll the dice and see what happens...:)

Coached with a guy that lost one of his balls. I immediately lovingly named him “single shot” and that’s what all the coaches called him.

I’ve lost hair, 2 wisdom teeth, gall bladder, 7 skin cancer plugs, ganglion cyst in my foot and had my vas deferens burned into

No tonsils and some fake teeth. Both feet are full of screws and pins but at least no bunions or hammertoes! 2 parathyroid glands were removed at UTSW/Parkland in 1985 to stop the flow of kidney stones! and it has worked!

Interesting. I have one daughter that is plagued with kidney stones. I will have to tell her about the parathyroid thing.

Re: Are you still original? - 03/17/24 11:32 PM

I was enrolled in the Stone Clinic because I flew for a living. They basically had to trick my system to figure out it was the pararthyroid. 2 of the 4 glands were bad and were causing me to absorb too much calcium and it was endangering my heart also. Depends on the makeup of the stones. Mine were Calcium Oxalate. 5 or 6 hour surgery back then and my neck looked like a frog when the postop fluid built up! A big syringe took care of that!

Re: Are you still original? - 03/18/24 03:32 PM

Also back in the early 80s stones were harder to get rid of- so Open Surgery! No Lithotripsy yet. I sympathize with your daughter and anyone else with kidney stone disease!

Re: Are you still original? - 03/18/24 07:22 PM

new lenses, one crown,

broke both arms at the same time, broke both again at separate times. broke both legs at separate times. broken ankle. broke both thumbs. fractured vertebrae in neck. numerous stiches all over... (then I learned how to drive)

all my internals are intact..... including my wedding tackle. LOL

out of all that worst pain ever, I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time, by a quack dentist, with a local anesthetic, and then drove myself home. I was down for a week.
