Interesting...I just bought new stainless grates late last year. Never seen these as an alternative.

Well worth it, have a set for my E-Z-Bake pellet grill. Awesome for doing a reverse sear on rib eyes.

On a gas grill they will block the flames from a flair up. They also absorb heat and become several hundred degrees hotter then the grill itself to sear steaks. My pellet grill gets up to a little over 500 degrees and is so so for searing but with the grill greats its perfect for searing.

$189 if I get the 3 panel set. Heck, I only paid $200 for my grill ($700 off on sale).

Re: GrillGrate 30% Off - 08/31/22 09:11 PM

If you buy a standard gas grill, it will likely come with either porcelainized or cast iron grates. Both are destined to fail. Manufacturers use those grates because they keep the price of the grill down. The porcelain breaks down and chips in to your food, the cast iron rusts before long. Wherever you buy them, seek out Stainless Steel grates for your grill. They don't break down or rust. I've put them on my Weber Genesis and they are great after 10 or more years and still going strong. Great investment. Thank me later.
