ferals?
The blue jay babies want to thank you for your support !
Jang-Jang was left out here by his owners and when we started feeding him, about 5 or 6 other cats started showing up. Tomcat was one of them. He and Jang-Jang had some pretty serious fights that would wake us up in the middle of the night. Eventually, all the other cats disappeared and Jang-Jang and Tomcat became best buds. Tomcat went from feral to friendly pretty fast. I guess a regular meal can do that.

Nice kill on the nasty ole blue jay
Here's a photo to make you proud Iconn. My kayak hauling rig. Getting ready for some guests to visit and do some yakking. The trailer was a necessity for hauling yaks from the shop to the lake and back again.

We have fed, neutered, spayed, and adopted numerous cats since moving into our neighborhood in the country 15 years ago. We only have one who ever goes outside anymore, and that's only for a couple of hours at mid-day, so we almost never find anything he has killed anymore. He prefers the heated and cooled house so he has gone soft, but he looks like Tomcat Kitty and still has the instincts and ability to take care of business.

I knew it!!!!! I said to myself, I bet his wife took that picture!
Elizabeth is allergic to cats, so they can't come inside. We never really had any intention of keeping cats around. It just kinda happened, but they are very helpful. No more rodents eating wires in our vehicles and they help keep snakes away from the house.
When I was a kid, had a black cat, I never fed it, didn't have to, our house backed to a field and woods, that is where my cat got dinner. She would eat a bird, feathers and all, she ate every bit of it. Rabbits, she would eat it all except the skull. That was one bad asss cat, she would whoop asss on any dog that messed with her.

I watched the cat that spends most of his time in our house now eat an entire gopher. There was no trace that it existed.

Missys the only one of my 5 that is allowed outside because she's to fat to go over or under the fence. She claims this workbench.

We have had cats that would sit and wait for hours for a gopher or mole to come to the surface, then eat it. I wish I had that kind of time and patience.

The reason most people don't put a cat on a leash? Because deep down you want them to run away.

When I was a kid we had a cat that would bite you when you fed it. One day it ran away. we didn't go looking.
Muffin loves salamanders. I have seen her with just a tail hanging out of her mouth. The summer before the big freeze it was not unusual to seen several at a time in the garage. Mostly she likes her naps.

Do lizards have much fat on em?
My cat loves to hunt lizards, more so than birds. Also the locust that are plentiful now.
She is also a "Cat on a hot tan roof " , if you know the similar saying
These barn cats are the most useless things on the planet. Never seen them go out and kill anything. Their momma (RIP) was a superb hunter.

grandparents had a farm in Iowa . They had two feral cats --- a male and a female . The male was the biggest cat I have ever seen ( it was bigger than their Sheltie ) . Nothing F'ed with that male cat .
My grandparents warned me not to go near it ---ever . It had a habit of catching full grown rabbits and bringing them to the front door and eating the entire rabbit in one sitting . The only thing it didn't eat was the ears .
I hated cats ever since
