Day #758 picture...."some days you get lucky"....

several years ago was fishing on Mexican side of Falcon lake and saw what appeared to be a crankbait just under the surface and hung on an isolated stick-up.....got closer to it and could see there was more than one crankbait caught in this small piece of net....cut it loose and there were 4 crankbaits and two plastic worms hung in the small piece of net.....water was falling and apparently I was first boat to fish this stretch of bank after the crankbaits became visible...also a little surprizing was that these baits didn't have rusty hooks or coated with slime indicating they had not been underwater very long.....and.....this stretch of bank gets fished a lot....

I score a couple lures every time I fish Lake Meredith in my float tube. Have to replace the hooks on some of them but hooks are a lot cheaper than the lures are.

Free stuff

Earlier this year while on the Tennessee River, I passed a red box floating. Turned around and it was a tackle box with a large number of new bass lures. No name or id on the box. I don't fish for bass, so I have no idea what those lures were worth. But there were at least 20 lures in it.
