Double the numbers and it would look like the one in my Super Duty

My wife’s car takes $35to fill it up at current prices. Her little Lexus has a 7 gallon tank. My truck can swallow a $100 bill and stay between the lines.

Dang! I was liking the little 10 gallon tank on the Accent I had for a rental... that and the good gas mileage were all I looked.

I have a 2013 Prius V with 210,000 miles just put a remanufactured moter in it 8,000 miles ago at the dealer for $7,200.
If i drive under 70, I get 39 to 40mpg. I typically set the cruise on 78 for 110 miles of the 320 i drive daily. Day in and day out my mpg is 35.6 to 36.4

It cost me $118 to fill my van, but I live in a crappy state with too many taxes.

Thank God a buddy is driving me to my photo workshop in Carmel/Monterey from San Diego
in his new Kia suv hybrid tomorrow, saves me about a million dollars, he's getting some 45 mpg.

My 2021 Camry is averaging 43 with a little under 20k. That is by doing the math. The trip computer is off by 1 to 1 1/4 mpg every tank. The only tank I got under 40 was driving back from Vegas doing 85 in the mountains. The best full tank was 47 which surprisingly enough was mixed city and highway.

I just put $400 in my diesel dually yesterday ($5.80/gal). But I have an aux tank in the bed for pulling our big 5th wheel. I carry approx. 120 gal useable. I have a 600 to 1000 mile range depending on speed, wind and grade. Personally I would rather be stationary with these fuel prices, but life doesn't always let us choose the most economical path. I had a repair scheduled at the factory in Indiana.

36 gallon tank in my F150. At a quarter of a tank, that's usually 30~32 gallons or $150 bucks.

Re: Hybrid Owners Gas Gage - 06/16/22 12:57 PM

My F150 Hybrid gets 24.7 mpg thats' is mostly driving 55 or below because there are lots of gravel and crappy road out here, at normal hwy. speeds it is around 22.7, the wife's Rav4 Hybrid gets 39 mpg. we have been using her car for normal trips around. The cheapest gas around here is around $4.50 yesterday. We don't drive as much and top of the tanks at 1/2 a tank, it eases the sticker shock.

Need to mow the outer yard this week so I filled up a 5 gallon can with diesel, $26.50.
Needless to say, the grass will be allowed to grow taller than normal this year.
