Had a big storm last night and one of my trail cameras got this shot. 1 in a million I would guess.

Probably a moth or other insect. A bolt of lightning would have lit up that area a whole lot more than that.

it looks like a tree branch to me... obviously could be wrong but thats what i thought when i first looked at the photo

Thread summary.. not one in a million bolt of lightning, not a bug, more than 50/50 chance it was a branch... odds of catching it on trail cam... 1 in a hundred.

I would agree with the tree branch. If it was actual lighting, even just the tip (snickering) it would be so extremely over exposed all it would be is pure white.
