Sideline reporters

Sideline reporters - 01/11/22 06:27 PM

Add no value to the telecast. Probably bring no additional women viewership. Ask same dumb questions such as “what was going thru your mind”. I say get rid of them.

I don’t care what kind of questions they ask…they need to be super hot and barely clothed OR get rid of them. Girl power!

Might as well put them and their interviews on ESPN2 where no one is watching.

She was driving me nuts interviewing Stetson Bennett after the game last night. Shuddup already and let him go celebrate with his team, stop with the asinine questions

Erin Andrews is the queen.

Re: Sideline reporters - 01/11/22 07:28 PM

They do ask idiotic questions. "What does this win mean to you and your teammates?"

Um, I guess it means that we won the championship...or the game that we prepared for and played. Or that we are advancing in the playoffs.

What does she expect them to say, and what do viewers get from that type of question? If you are watching a ballgame don't you probably already know that both teams value winning. Often times I get sick of the non-stop reiterating the same point or endlessly droning on about the importance of the win even when it involves my favorite teams. So the Chiefs or Astros won the championship. Do I really need to have player after player questioned about what it means to him, or how valuable someone is?

When I was a Cowboys fan I got all the "what this means to us" I needed from one 9 second clip...

It would be better if they asked the refs that question several times a game. roflmao

Laura Rutledge from the SEC channel is good. Probably a matter of time before she is a regular.

Although I don't even watch TV, let alone sports, if we didn't have those sideline ladies, we'd never have...

Is that what makes her sound intoxicated every now and then?

I thought this was going to be about Eric Dickerson and Tony “The Goose” Siragusa.

It is a contributing factor maybe. Generally folks that sound intoxicated are.

They are pretty and I like to look at them.

IMHO they add nothing but irritation to the coaches who have to with them

Yeah, I enjoy the brief glimpses the tv coverage gives us, breaks things up a bit

The gal that does the interviews for CBS golf, Amanda Balionis (sp?) is pretty hot and the players she interviews seem to like her.

I concur, she is very confident and classy, seems to know golf too

They get good injury updates during the game; that alone is valuable enough for me.

Re: Sideline reporters - 01/13/22 03:18 PM

The only women reporters I have drooled over were Suzy Kolber and Phillis George.
But in reality, they are just a tool being used by the network. They are not hired for their expertise or their knowledge. They are hired for their cleavage and bright eyes and sexy smile.
They seem to not really care as long as they get a paycheck and some limelight. Then when they lose that job they scream they were used and exploited. Makes me roll my eyes, they did not see that happening while on the payroll.

She is what I call a classic beauty. Obviously she is beautiful but how she carries herself with class is from a throwback era.

I guess we don't really need them for a football game to be played, but they are great to look at and quite friendly. I saw this group at the airport about 25 years ago and asked if I could get a photo with my son. They said Sure!

They are totally useless.
I just love it when they stop college coaches who are enroute to join their team for halftime strategy changes.
