The Sawhorse Experiment - 07/28/21 03:01 AM

As you've all heard the man has skills, I know there are a few others on here (looking at Bob Davis, IN95, Bentman if he's still around) that jam well too, how about any percussionist, bass players, harp, tamborine, spoon players, singers etc...to form an impromptu TFF band? Would be so groovy!!

Re: The Sawhorse Experiment - 07/28/21 03:18 AM

A fun jam would be good for sure. An "open mic event" or a band scramble maybe a good idea. thumb cheers

I have a music performance degree from Baylor. All brass instruments, piano, all string instruments. Percussion as well. I was planning on being a band director after college, but kept building cars since the money was better. I still have a concert grand in my house. It’s hilarious when people come over and see it. They say,”hey…I didn’t know your wife played piano!” I say, “she doesn’t”, then they say, “your kids?” Then I play some Bach and they just start looking. It’s usually pretty funny. They just can’t see a “car guy” that fishes bass tourneys 3-4 times a week playing classical music. I have been playing piano and guitar for 48 years now.

To the best of my knowledge he didn’t.

Like a lot of us true Americans, he was disheartened by experiencing the libs out-cheat the Republicans in the 2020 election. When the Kamala/Biden ticket stole the election, got sworn in, and reversed the plans for carving Trump into Mt. Rushmore...he finally reached a tipping point.

Then, all it took was reading some lib propaganda posted by some left-leaning - and very confused - TFFers in the OT section to drive him away. Ultimately it was his love for America, and not physical death, that ripped him from the pages of the OT.

I wouldn't mind, but I'll let you know that I don't really do "Texas singer-songwriter" stuff, not that I don't mind hearing it.

However, I'm a RockNRoller even though I don't look the part.
I played last night at Northside Brewery in Richardson, and the shot below is from Hemisphere Brewery in Rockwall.

Addendum: I don't drink, but I'll show up with a guitar and hope fruit doesn't come flyin'!
