Anything good in Sanger?

Restaurants, I mean. My folks are there for the classic all week and they don’t get much time to go look around, thought maybe you guys knew some hidden gems. And BCbasscat is ignoring me right now, I think it’s past his bedtime.

We use it a lot whenever we travel.

The mexican place is good, migalitos. Breakfast burritos at the sportsman are solid. Denton right down road has everything, Aubrey has a mexican place and fast food stuff.

You can probably order a pizza from a phone there.

The marina used to do catfish etc certain nights, dont know if they still do

And the dam store used to do good burgers

Miguelitos - Like a really bad El Chico

All of the above would be considered “near the bottom locations” in their respective chains. They are terrible on food quality, cleanliness, service...etc., but awesome if you like diarrhea.

They are about the same distance from IDB state park which is where they are launching.

Clarks Outpost in Tioga is the most famous and historic BBQ place in the area.
Overrated; absolutely, but it was the only good BBQ in the north metroplex (other than Hutchins) in the1980s.

They can drive to my buddy Marty Bs place and party like rock stars

Brisket nachos are amazing. Love that place.

I’m telling you, if they like Italian, Pellegrinos really has surprisingly good food. Can wear whatever and dine inside...awesome food quality and very laid back.

I’m taking them to 407 Friday night when I get down there, so we have the bbq already covered.

We only eat their pizza, it’s pretty good.

I think it burnt down. They rebuilt but I think it has different owners...or something changed. It’s not even close to what it once was, and it’s “once was” wasn’t all that great. Will scratch the itch but not a good representation of Texas BBQ IMO.

Their pastas and traditional Italian dishes are really, really solid!

And TexMex is the equivalent of Taco Bell.

Haven’t eaten there since they rebuilt. Hutchins got much better after their late 2000s rebuild. Not happy to hear Clark’s got worse; but that was the direction they were heading.

Ernesto's Mexican at FM455 and Hwy 380 is good. Its a few miles east of Isle Du Bois park on FM 455.

Get a breakfast taco at the Sportsman.

Don't know if it's still there but there used to be an Allsups on the south end of Pilot Point. Could always go over and getcha a sack full of those famous burritos.

This is where I always go by the lake. Its actually at 455 and 377. And those Sportsman breakfast burritos are good before hitting the lake.

Migeulitos is great, dont let a couple locals tell you wrong it's been packed everytime I'm there. Fajitas are the way there. You cant trust opinions of sanger people cause they live in sanger...... if they knew anything they wouldn't live in sanger

I ate at Miguelito's about 5 years ago and still experiencing hershey's squirts. Worse than lingering effects from Covid....

Pepper Belly BBQ has solid BBQ , he is open Tuesday Wed .and Friday and Sat . On 455 E , take out , Opens at 10:00

It’s a red trailer and a couple of smokers on the north side of 455 E, just after you cross the railroad tracks on the way to RR from I35. Cash only. I’ve heard it’s good but my experience was that it was well below Dickies. I caught him just before closing...all meats (brisket, smoked sausage) came out of a soaked crock pot. I need to try it again because too many people claim it’s really good.

Not to toot my own horn, but I know food, I know restaurants...and I know food and restaurants in Sanger. If you polled 1 million people, 99.9% would agree with what’s provided there^^. It can be taken to the bank!

There's a place called Bebo's in Aubrey that I've heard is good. A buddy of mine like's Nick's italian in Pilot Point. My best bud's little sister owns Upper Park Cafe in Aubrey as well. Their breakfast is dam good.

Or, come on down to 428/288 and stop by Moto's kitchen. We have Dos XX with a side of Dos XX.

I’d say I’m definitely a worn all food options out in Sanger person. So much so that I would be willing to pay you $1,000 if you tried any of the places I listed and walked away with an assessment different than what I wrote*.

You don’t need Yelp when all you have to do drive around the block.
