We got close to 4” in clean Seguin.
I’m currently in Devine headed to Carrizo Springs, and it’s been raining on us the whole trip.

What are the lake conditions like in South Texas? Are they full?

Re: South Texas rain - 05/01/21 05:04 PM

Picked up a total of 2" from yesterday till now. That makes 3.5" for the week. We still have a chance for another inch of rain from now till around 8p. This rain could not have come at a better time. Looking at the radar during this weather system a lot of my fishing spots got some very good soakings. thumb

They rarely are full and probably won’t come up more than 3’ or so.

Had 4.5" since yesterday southeast of San Antonio. Hope the Frio drainage got a bunch of rain.

Re: South Texas rain - 05/02/21 07:52 PM

Amistad will need relief from the Valley befote it can get a good rise since the Rio Conchas in Mex has had dams installed. Same for Falcon I assume. I saw a big rise on Amistad from a tropical storm that sent the Devils on a rampage but lots of dry spots on that watershed.

Showing a pretty good rise on San Miguel creek but really nothing at all on the Frio. A foot might be wishful thinking.

Dawson county needs some rain, My Wife and sister in law have sucked as cotton farmers the last few years. They are overdue for a good crop.
