Its about to pop off in Minneapolis

Its about to pop off in Minneapolis - 04/12/21 03:54 PM

Director for our location up there wants to close at 4pm today due to "Unsafe Conditions" developing in the city.

I always thought of that Prairie home Companion show when I thought of Minneapolis. Just wholesome kind of hard working folk. Hardy folk, down to earth who like fishing for walleye and sunnies and making hot dish....

I did not think it would be burned down but looks like thats a thing that might happen.

Those idiots are going to look stupid after the Chauvin trial is over and they realize they don’t have anything left to burn down. It’s going to be like the fat kid who popped all of his fireworks the day he bought them and then goes to the big July 4th party with all of his fun cousins and just has to sit there eating a hotdog while all of the other kids shoot off their fireworks. They will be like “Dave, where are your fireworks? How come you aren’t setting them off” and he will be there all stupid faced because he doesn’t have any left.

Don’t be a Dave.

There is a big difference in Minneapolis and Minnesota. There are areas of Minneapolis that you would swear were neighborhoods in Somalia or Cambodia. Drive around the state and you feel like you are in Lake Woebegone. Minneapolis is a liberal cesspool that has allowed their city to deteriorate to where it is today. A good burning may do it some good.

I have a buddy who lives in Rochester, MN, and works in St. Paul y'all aren't kidding about all the Somalians there. It is crazy the numbers. This latest shooting might just be the straw that broke the camel's back. Another black man shot by a white cop. I've only seen a short blurb about it on the news this morning, but he shot at the car as it drove away killing the guy. It's really about to hit the fan especially if Chauvan is found not guilty.

Re: Its about to pop off in Minneapolis - 04/12/21 06:21 PM

I saw the video, guy was being arrested for outstanding warrants. He decided to fight while being handcuffed, get in his car, and drive away.

It's a very bad situation, maybe accidental - BUT - it never would have happened without the actions of the dead guy. Everything starts somewhere.

I'm a bit confused here. According to the article the driver got back in his car and started to drive away, and the officer fired a single shot. Why would she be trying to use a taser when the guy was inside the car driving away.

Not sure I believe she is a communist at all. Sure she says that, but I just don't believe it.

This chick is a red blooded American Capitalist. She saw an opportunity, exploited, is milking it for all it is worth, and is living lavishly off the proceeds. If that is not an American Dream story, then I don't know what is.

Now to all the people contributing to her... WAKE THE F*** UP! Realize this "movement" is there for the personal enrichment of its founders. Realize the fires are being stoked by those that are benefiting from the destruction it is causing.

Re: Its about to pop off in Minneapolis - 04/12/21 07:14 PM

To me it is amazing that A. anybody with a brain would think rioting and looting would help bring any change B. that this behavior is actually justified by the loser media channels. You have a small percentage of morons that refuse to do the things that everybody else in America do like go to school, get a job, pay bills, NOT commit crimes....the list goes on. These idiots commit crimes and then refuse to cooperate or resist arrest and then wind up getting themselves killed all because of their own actions. Then we make the police look bad because they just didn't let them do what they want. Tired of this mentality, we need some changes. Start holding the hood rats accountable just like everyone else. Sure there are bad cops and they need to be held accountable too. This is just ridiculous.

Re: Its about to pop off in Minneapolis - 04/12/21 07:26 PM

I am going to make a statement, and it is only my opinion. Please do not mistake this as a racist comment or that I am a racist. I am not and this is not.

All of this BLM, rioting, social unrest is being driven by the far left via Soros and the like. They have sent the message to the Black/Brown community that they can pretty much do what they want and they won't be punished. They are importing illegal aliens at and alarming rate, and releasing serious offenders from prison almost as soon as they are arrested.

On one side they are driving the white supremist, white privilege, whites are the evil, etc. On the other side they are driving reparations, racial equality, and empowering groups such as BLM, and the NFAC to sow dissent, unlawfulness, looting and rioting through the use of MSM. The black/ brown community is being manipulated in a very unfair and unjust way. They have fought for years for someone to hear them, and now the left is portraying that they are doing just that; when what they are actually doing is using them to divide the country. The Democrat Socialists want us divided by race, religion, income, and anything else they can push. It is their single goal. Destroy us from within, and tear America down so Socialism and eventually communism can be ushered in. China wants to dominate the world, and so does Russia, but they know they can't beat China so they've partnered up.

Unfortunately, I see no good outcome or a good way to resolve this. We have gone to far down the road. If China moves on Taiwan (likely), Russia moves on Ukraine (happening), and we go to war internally (getting closer). We are lost. This is the great reset and people better get serious about what they want their future to look like. There will be no second chances.

As a centric/moderate, I tend not to agree with radical means to an end.
Peaceful debate and compassionate hard work have proven time and time again to be more productive. This more loving process may take longer than revolutionary behavior; but the result is greater long term significant change with much less collateral damage.

It would get you more than that but not much.

A typical 3/2 in the Valley will run you about a million though. Talking about a house built in the 30s or 40s. 1000sq feet. A small front and back yard. Thats about a million. In a so/so area! If you want a "nice" area... forget about it. 2mil + easy.

they started last night , watching all those people go in and just take whatever they can drives me nuts .
the ONLY thing that stops this is CONSEQUENCES !!!!!!!!!!

EVERY single person on this board has stopped some type of " bad" behavior when you took a moment to think about the CONSEQUENCES . For me , first is was getting a spanking from my mom . Getting older ,next was fearing a complete azz whoppin from my dad . Lastly , was the idea of going to jail or prison . Do y'all remember that show " Scared Straight " --- the original version I believe was filmed in San Quentin .
I was forced to watch it ------ NEVER did anything ever again that would get me in serious trouble .
Today , none of these so called " Americans " fear any consequences ---EVER !!!!

I agree with your sentiment, but it is only ok if a black capitol policeman shoots and kills a 125 lb. unarmed female coming in through a broken window. Close range gunshot to the neck. There was no physical threat. But......crickets......... no one cares about that.

Finally saw the body cam footage. Dead guy, when he found out he was being arrested for a warrant, fought to get back in the car. The door was still open, the female had her gun drawn, yelled that she was going to taser him. As he struggled to get out of the other officers grip, she fired one shot. She then responded in shock that she had just shot the guy. I can't see how she would not know that she had her gun in her hand and not the taser, but maybe in the excitement of the guy trying to flee she just didn't realize it until she pulled the trigger. He didn't drive away until after he was shot.

Guys, I live in the Twin Cities on the west side about 15-20 miles from where this took place. It's just another reason for them to Loot and burn down stores.

It’s just sick when you fear to drive to work even though you carry. Why does a loss of life mean you need to take from peoples livelihoods and burn buildings down?

Common sense is not common around the hoods of MPLS/St Paul.

Carrying is our only choice, and it’s a choice we have on us every day.

Body cam footage shows he resisted arrest when they tried to cuff him, she pulls her gun by mistake as he tries to get back into his car, she yells “Tazor,” three or four times, shoots him, he speeds off.

I'm a bit confused here. According to the article the driver got back in his car and started to drive away, and the officer fired a single shot. Why would she be trying to use a taser when the guy was inside the car driving away.
Body cam footage shows he resisted arrest when they tried to cuff him, she pulls her gun by mistake as he tries to get back into his car, she yells “Tazor,” three or four times, shoots him, he speeds off.
It's gross negligence then......so apply that to whatever law applies....no way around it

If he hadn’t resisted arrest this wouldn’t have happened, he had assumed the position with his hands behind his back and then decided to be a moron and resist. Did he deserve to die? No he didn’t but his actions caused this deal and know else.

Not most, but there are a few out there who do not need to be policemen. In most cases the Chief knows who his bad actors are and either can't or is unwilling to do anything about it. Police unions are often the reason.

We have zero reason to believe the officer was a bad actor, we do know the dead guy was. Now he didn't deserve to die, but he is the reason it ended that way.

I’m tired of seeing idiots thinking they can resist or run from police!!! While some don’t deserve to die their actions bring about the consequence. Respect and comply and none of these issues occur.

Until you get robots, the failure rate or misconduct rate that rises to criminal complaint level is so low a percentage of annual contacts its unapproachable by any other means

I just watched the entire video. Apparently my definition of compliance is different than yours and that of JackMason because that wasn’t what I would call complete compliance.

The officer is a senior officer on the police force there and was working as a training officer when this event happened. Officer Kimberly Potter is a 26-year veteran and president of the Brooklyn Center police union.

Chauvin had 18 complaints filed in 19 years with 16 of them closed without discipline. I would think in an atmosphere of racial tension, 2 complaints with merit in 19 years is not out of the ordinary, especially in a cesspool like Minneapolis.

Notice in the video how she moved the paper to her left hand before drawing her weapon. It also looked like she chambered as well. How does vet cop screw up so badly?

Sometimes the subconscious takes over and you do what your training reinforces in you. For a veteran officer, that is drawing your weapon with your dominate hand. Not trying to make excuses for her. I don't see how she thought she had her taser in hand, but her reaction after the gun went off seemed like honest shock that she shot her gun. After years of CPR training, one day I actually had to perform it. The people around me said that my actions and even the sound of my voice changed drastically. I was in automatic mode. Didn't even remember most of it afterwards. I just let the training take over.

Mayor fired the City Manager after yesterday's press conference.

Guess he didn't like the fact that the City Manager publicly disagreed with his assertion that the police officer who fatally shot a Black man in the Minneapolis suburb should be immediately fired in response to the incident.

Instead the City Manager said he would follow the due process procedures currently in place.

Hey, I said it did not matter if the so called criminal was not on trial which Floyd was not. Chauvin is on trial, so his past matters. Sorry, you are having a hard time processing the argument, but you will probably be better as an adult.

"Chambered" ??? Her duty weapon was loaded already man, if she was carrying around a chamber empty duty weapon I will eat my hat......and what half of the kid did she shoot?? Only the person of color half? Because he is half Caucasian, at the least....maybe 3/4's......stupid [censored] news "BLACK MAN SHOT!" I am darker than that kid....

Now, it was a grossly negligent act and if she is prosecuted for an APPROPRIATE criminal charge, no problem from me. She should retire immediately.

We come from a different time and place. When these conversations were held in the past, it was often at the local watering hole and there were immediate repercussions for those who ran their mouth and stepped over the line. We have to learn to let it go on social media. It's easy enough to win these debates with logic, but when you start seeing red, your logic goes out the window. I know cause I've been there and my face has scars to show it.

There is no defending some of the things going on in our country right now. Just don't lose your temper and you will win almost every fight (whoops) I mean debate.

What about me? I feel like I've been doing a great job too. Don't make me put you on my list.

He's a step up from Fatty. At least he wasn't made a moderator by a bunch of drunk moderators at a mod weekend g2g ... as a gag. We actually brought Derek on as a real moderator.

Fatty was supposed to be left as a moderator without any real moderator powers for a few days. Somehow he lasted for years.

Ask fast. "Supplies are low" is the work on the street. Probably just trying to hype it up... like when Popeyes pretended to be out of chicken for a few weeks, gets the buzz going for your goods.

I keep waiting on my moderator badge to show up, I'm sure it's in the mail. roflmao
