Favorite Tv/movie car - 04/07/21 05:34 PM

Saw this on LinkedIn and decided to post over here. What’s your favorite Tv or Movie car. Mine would have to be Eleanor (gone in 60 seconds) followed by a very close second Delorean (back to the future).

that is one beautiful car !!!!! They say the actual car Ken Miles drove in Lemans is now worth $20-25M . The car above looks like a replica , even has the wheel on the left . There is a car show in Monterey Calif every year and one time a guy brought one of the original GT40's to it . When he started it up and rev'd it up --- I thought I was going to cry --- sounded like magic

dealer I bought my truck from had a white/blue stripe probably 2nd gen. in the drive when I was in one day. almost got to test drive it, almost.

if I could own a supercar, gt40 would top the list. want to see one of the last gen. with the ecoboost in it.

When Ford reintroduced the limited run of the GT 40s in the early 2000s my son didn't get why I was so excited. He thought I was talking about the Mustang GTs or GT 500. Then we went to the State Fair and toured the Auto building and they had one of these on display. I told him this was the GT i had been talking about. He got it.
Shortly after they started selling them we were going to dinner in North Dallas and one of these was in the parking lot. We were walking around it taking a close up look when the owner walked up. he opened it up and let my son sit in it while I took a couple pics.

I too must admit, owned a 2014 TDI Passat for 2 years. Bought it for some serious driving driving I was to make, and in two years covered over 120,000 miles on it. Paid just over $25K cash for it, sold it back to VW during their emissions scandal buy back on the TDI's for $22.5. Was the best car deal I ever made and averaged 43mpg, never under 40mpg, sometime close to 50mpg if you drove like an old.
