Has to be Red Robin right? Those steak fries are awesome and they keep bringing them...

Clydes in Old Town Lewisville was the GOAT. I think the cigarette ash from the old lady working the grill really added something to the meat. Not sure why it closed down. It was delicious.

Wallbangers in Corpus or McAllen if you're ever down that way is legit. They make their buns in house and grind the meat as you order. Hands down an excellent burger.

Their burgers are ok. They specialize in giant stacked odd toppings that require a normal human to un-hinge their lower jaw like a python to get it into their mouths. But, Red Robin is a kid's joint. It is a haven of kid snot bacteria and screaming noise in the upper db levels.

I agree with this, which is why I avoid places like Red Robin and Bucees or any other place full of people and their kids. I must be getting old.

I wish they’d allow people to bring their furbabies in...especially dogs. Dogs would lick a lot of the snot bacteria and such off people’s faces in fits of joy while they’re waiting for the food.

Man I used to have to go to Bridgeport all the time, those are some good burgers.

Burger street is still great for a chain, but the seating is limited

it's kind of like saying which burger sucks the least.

They have a "tavern house" menu or something like that. The burgers are reasonable size not huge and only 6.99 with all the you can eat fries.

Thats the one I get usually... esp since I know I am getting half of whatever sandwhich the wife orders.

When you rotate through the VA as a medical student and then as a resident for eight years; it was Wingfields when at the VA and Maple and Motor when at Parkland.

Wingfields is right by Cedar Crest GC also. Cedar Crest GC and Sleepy Hollow GC were played about 100 times each those eight years.

Then I bet you know about Rudy’s fried chicken also, it is across from the old Lancaster-Keist shopping center-

Only place I know to get a burger and have a biker chick fill your cooler with beer and ice. Ate there a lot when I lived in the village. Far from the best burger though.

Some fans on here, but more haters... non the less the lines block traffic at lunch time at almost every location and they keep making more of them in Texas. Someone must be liking them.

AND I never once saw anyone working there who looked homeless. To the contrary they always look clean. Like they clearly have an appearance standard that is enforced by their mangers. Further they always seem to be fluent in English, which is not a gimmie in fast food joints.

Not the best, but perhaps the best vibe.

Went to the one in Ft. Worth. Cool spot! Food was pretty good. The environment was fun... more interesting than the food. Which was solid, just did not stand out to me.

Forgot; Stroker’s Icehouse right by Bachman Lake has a very good burger also.

Never ate there but man that place is—-uhhh colorful.

Don’t know if you care, but their burgers are conveyor belt burgers. No grilling, no burger flipping. Conveyor belt like Burger King.

BTW, know who else makes conveyor belt food? Dominos and Pizza Hut.

OK. I was just thinking about the Metromess, but if you venture into the Hill Country then The Alamo Springs Cafe, just south of Fredericksburg, has the best burgers in Texas!

If you're willing to travel to beautiful West Texas, the Stanton Pharmacy serves an excellent burger and an even better shake, but only at lunch.

The Snuffers in Red Oak was ruined by poor staff and poor management. The food was generally good, if fresh and still hot by the time ya got it.

Hell. I think my wife was so pissed at every visit, we’d eat free every other time. Hahaha. Good frys too.

Wawi makes a damn good burger, Kinkaids is solid as well.

Snuffers got bought by the same company that owns el fenix. I dont think they have done a good job with it.

There is a burger place in Midlothian called Hideout Burgers. It's one of the best I've been to, maybe not THE best, but among the best.

place just off of 10 and westheimer in houston called pappys had the best I ever ate. 4 of us did the remodel when it was built and got free food after the kitchen was operational, 1/3 # burgers and fresh fries. been a looooooooong time so not sure if it is even the same owners now.

Kamo’s Cajun grill is in Gresham, it is tiny building, seating is picnic tables outside,but the burgers are excellent.

The hamburger bar in Palestine was the greatest ever, sadly covid finished the old girl off. It was Iconic and if you never ate there which I'm sure most didnt you missed out. It was featured on the day tripper and it nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Wife and I drove to Virginia for Christmas few years ago. She looked up a burger place somewhere in Tennessee that was about a half hour off the interstate and our route. Looked just like that place. No idea where in Tennessee it was, no idea the name, but it was absolutely worth the hour detour. Old school, bring it out to your car, excellent burgers and the best butterscotch milk shake I’ve ever had.

Haven't been in quite a few years, but the Hole in the Wall restaurant over on Harry Hines in Dallas used to serve up some pretty good burgers and cold beer. Had decent Blues bands playing on the patio during the summertime. Not exactly the kind of place you would take the kids as it was a bit of a biker joint, but a bunch of friendly folks and fun times.

Pecan Grove is a cool spot with good burgers, in Fredericksburg heading out 16 towards Llano. Open on Friday and Saturday, maybe some other times, I don't know.

Freiheit Store in New Braunfels is a good spot too, real good burgers.

Used to go to the Butcher Shop for the buffalo burgers, mighty tasty.

I would say that Chapps burgers in Arlington ranks up there with the best of them.

If you think about it, it is pretty hard to screw up a burger, kind of like an egg. There is no way I could name the best, I would have to name about 20 places as my favorites. I think the atmosphere and nostalgia are a big part of the best burger joints.

this is true. I've had a good burger at IHOP, but the best one ever sticks out in my mind. it was at the Restaurant at harbor 1 on EM lake. it was the baby jesus of burgers.

I like Ronnie's, they're constantly a good, no frills burger. I'm not a big fan of the Glass Kitchen, we had at about a month or so ago and it was just amazing.. We're having Willie's today here at work. They make a big messy burger that's pretty good.

I'd say my favorite burger joint is because of the burgers, fries and steak sandwiches, NOT because of the seats and service.
Although they do have an old-school counter with drugstore-type seats.

Back in The Day, there was a great burger joint at the very far north end of Harry Hines called Hole in the Wall. Had live music as well.

I’ve eaten a double cheeseburger from the Dam Store by Ray Roberts that would be hard to beat by any burger joint in America. I can’t speak to product consistency, service...etc., but the double cheese I had was outstanding. It was made with hamburger meat, cheese, a bun and some other stuff.

Ponder Steakhouse used to be pretty dang good. Haven't been a long time so can't say if they still are.

Yep. Harry Hines just a little bit South of Forest Ln. Torn down. Casualty of the Hines expansion/Stemmons/LBJ remodel. They had some great Crawfish boils
From the front it didn't look that big but had a big back patio.

The Hole in the Wall was a tiny place up front and it shared the building with a dive shop.

The Lakewood Landing down at Live Oak and Skillman is good, but I'm not claiming it's the best.
In fact, some of those old, OLD booths will probably hurt your back!

Ok, there will be very few know about this place but-

H&H grocery in Hutchins, just south of Dallas has a grill and about 4ish tables if you want to sit and people watch.
It’s just a small 2 pump gas station and convenience store.
It has a very, very good bacon cheeseburger basket for like 7.69.
They don’t just lay a couple slices of bacon on there, the lady piles it in and smushes the bun down to where bacon crumbles fall out as you eat it sometimes.
I think it would surprise many of you.

They make a very big and very good breakfast burrito also.

Circleville country store is about as good as it gets.nothing fancy just a truly great burger.

One Stop in Runaway Bay makes a great burger too. Not a bad meat market either.

They have it all.

They have a brunch on weekends there that is supposed to be excellent. Good people in there. When the whole town lost power in the ice storm they brought in generators and powered up their building. They cooked for everyone and made sure those who needed a warm place to stay were welcome. They set up their dining room as a dorm type setup.

Crcleville is just north of Taylor on state hwy 95. Sorry for the disappointment but Midlo doesn’t have any outstanding eating establishments.

And I will chase down a above average burger. Last few pages listed some good’ns for sure. But.
Nothing and I mean nothing has ever equaled the offering at cripple creek in Del Rio. Pound of mesquite grilled ground sirloin on homemade bread. Had a lot of good, some really good but never an equal to that.
