They are really good, but not chicken sandwich good
Is that the new paperfish filet they have been advertising?

I agree. Had one for the first time yesterday. I liked it! Much better than any other "fish like" sandwich you get at a fast food place.
Its really a nice piece of flaky white fish. And its got some kick! Its almost got as much spice as the spicy version of their chicken sammich. Its well flavored. It uses the same brioche bread bun and barrel pickles with a smear of a mild Tatar sauce type sauce. So no surprises there. Its good to even very good.
BUT, is it "better than" their chicken sandwich? No.

Had one last night.
Breading was delightfully spiced.

Re: Review pending - 02/23/21 07:15 PM
Once again, Popeyes hits it out of the park and curb stomps Chick-FIl-A and the rest.
Batter is the perfect amount of thickness
The fish to batter ratio is 85% fish 15% batter
Batter is the perfect amount of crispiness and breadiness. Not overly crispy, not greasy, not overly bready.
Could be spicier; but I’m sure there’s people that say it’s too spicy.
8.5/10
Could use more pickles

I'd give that lunch combo a three Tum's rating!

is that Tums up or Tums down?

Warning, olds and yutes may get upset tummies. This will leave more delicious sammiches for the rest of us.

TDawg is correct. Popeyes should be a rare treat. Rest of the time grilled fish and grilled vegetable, push ups, sit ups, planks, good posture, walking, jogging, and bicycling.

1000 post count minimum to pick your demise. So diabeetus it is for you.
I like to go fishing, but I'm a catch and release type.
I don't care for fish food or any other kind of seafood.
My question, if anyone knows the answer.
When a fast-food joint, or any full restaurant serves deep fried foods, chicken, fries, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, etc, then they "add fish/seafood," do they use the same fryers?
Anyone in the restaurant industry know if there are ordinances about seafood separate from chicken or chicken fried steaks?

Years ago I would run into a guy at Ray Hubbard that was a commercial fisherman. He would have a truck load of drum and carp. He said one time his biggest customer with Long John Silvers.

Pickles don't go with fish and I hate tartar sauce. Buddy of mine in college had a brother that caught yellow perch in lake Erie. We deep fried and made fish sandwiches. I am sure flounder is good but I don't think it is as good as that yellow perch.

Flounder is good but fried lake perch is in a class by itself.

Maybe whatever the fish actually was identified itself as being flounder?
