Nah, the insects will be here. When I worked in North Dakota we had mosquitos that could stand flat footed and look a Tom turkey eye to eye. This was following many days of -20 temps.

Freeze will never kill all the bugs. Would have hit them harder if snow wasn’t on the ground insulating it. Ever been to Alaska? Mosquitos everywhere.

I really don’t go for that, unless the bugs have already come out then it freezes hard, those might be killed off. But there will be more behind them

Ya, bugs have had thousands of years to adapt and have survived whatever Mother Nature has thrown at them. They’ll be just fine.
