? Air Fryer Fraud?

Been seeing lots of ads for the Emeril Air Fryer. Pictures in the ads look pretty good but how in heck can this thing take your just-battered fish/chicken/onion rings and pop them out better than a real deep fryer would? My guess is the only "fried" stuff you can "cook" in it is the frozen-and-already-cooked stuff that's barely worth eating.

Air fryers are basically convention oven. They do some things well, actually frying ain't one of them

I gave mine away after one use!

Precooked breaded food and fresh chicken wings is what I use my air fryer for.

They do french fries good, but not onion rings. I think they do chicken wings better than a deep fryer.

Good lord dude, it has a plethora of uses. I use mine 4 times a week.

The wings are fantastic. What's up with the onion rings?

We gave Mom the Ninja air fryer grill thingamabob....and she loves it. The chicken legs I've eaten were great...

I did chicken enchiladas last week. Chicken, pork, frozen, anything you want.

Did you give it to someone that impressed you on here?

I have 2, the Big Boss 16qt and a NuWave and will be eventually getting a box style with roti sire

List of things ive cooked:
Wings, leg quarters, thighs, bacon, grilled cheese ,pizza, hot dogs, fish fillets, pork chops and the list goes on an on.

A recent discovery: fast food fries or onion rings that are soggy and limp by the time you get them home can be
fixed with a few minutes in the air fryer

I cook fish in mine, lots of butter on it comes out good. I use the air fry setting which is 390.

Same with cold or frozen pizza.

Or left over chicken.

I use it all the time...and make some dang good fried fish and I guarantee u cant tell the difference. There is an art, just like smoking....But let me tell ya something, wings on the pellet smoker for a couple hours then finished in the air fryer for crispy skin.....with Bryan's 407BBQ Rub... There isn't anything better on the planet to eat IMO..... Heck, I think I'll make these for the fight tonite !!!!

The batter falls off the onion rings. Today, I discovered the air fryer isn't good for mozzarella cheese sticks either.

Works great on chicken nuggets for the kids.

I got one for Christmas. It’s fine. Not really blowing my doors off. I’ll keep using it try to perfect some recipes, but so far overhyped.

+1 It’s nice to use while you’re oil frying fish separately and have the fries cooking at the same time in the air fryer.

Just make a diy clamshell basket and you can cook just about anything in it.
Use wire snips to make this widely available $15 option fit inside the Big Easy





Indoor electric air fryers are great if you have younger children:
Hot dogs
Grilled cheese sandwich
Tots
Fries
Chicken wings
Meat balls

I made pork schnitzel in mine last night. It was good. Just have to watch it and flip your food before it gets burnt on one side.

Saw a guy on TV spray his chicken wings with EVO and put corn starch on wings to make them crispy.

Got one for Christmas last year.. I tried many things with it and it was either me or the appliance, so I gave it to daughter. She used it a lot of crisp her vegetables.

I've done taquitos, empanadas, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, and probably some other things I can't remember, and it's all been pretty dang good. Mostly just snack stuff when we've had friends or family over.

They're great for reheating last nights chicken fried steak, and making it crispy again. Works well for monte cristo sandwiches as well

Yes, it has a coil that is similar to a toaster in the the top of it.

I bought the big easy before thanksgiving. Brined two 10 pound turkey breasts. Cooked one in the big easy air fryer and one in my smoker. Everyone tried the air fried turkey and the smoked turkey and the smoked turkey won 12 to 1 at our thanksgiving dinner.

Since then, I've cooked wings, naked and rolled in corn starch, salmon, redfish, chicken naked and rolled in corn starch and a few other meats. I give up. Don't know what the big deal is, I can make better food on a gas grill or wood fired pit/smoker and day of the week.

take a bag of broccoli salt pepper 11 min. perfect. steak 8min on 450 perfect ,the seasoning doesnt come off. left overs perfect. cold pizza 3 min perfect,
I am using the Ninja max, so you put it in the top and you can pull it out shake it and stick it back.

That is the one my sisters and I bought Mom this year for Christmas....she uses it pretty much everyday. The legs she made for me were great.
