Best Fast Food Breakfast

I am a huge fan of fast food breakfast. It is rare that I eat FF lunch or dinner, but breakfast is great.

Back in the day, McDonalds' bacon egg & cheese simply could not be topped. It was the best. But over the years, the biscuit size has shrunk by half and the bacon is just a paper thin suggestion of a pig belly.

A year ago, my choice would still go to McDonald's with their steak egg & cheese bagel. It was very tasty and filling. But they took it off the menu at the beginning of lockdowns when only drive throughs were open. I am hopeful it will come back, but I have my doubts.

Now my favorite fast food breakfast is Chic-fil-a's chicken biscuit with egg and cheese added. In fact, all of the Chic-fil-a breakfast menu items are solid.

In order of my preference

Buc-ee's sausage, egg and cheese breakfast burrito

McDonald's sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin with extra cheese.

Whataburger chorizo and egg "taquitos" (though I haven't had one in years)

Does Buc-ee's count since it's a gas station?

Ima say Buc-ee's does not count because, to me, fast food must have a drive through option. I am a fan of that breakfast burrito though.

I haven’t eaten fast food breakfast in years but, if I did it would probably be a McMuffin sausage and cheese no egg.

Ok fair enough. McDonald's are far more common so I eat there a lot more often. Funnily enough, I eat McDs breakfast for lunch far more often then I do for breakfast. But I only FF a few times a month so it's still not that often.

I tried Wendy's breakfast once, it was surprisingly good. I rarely eat FF breakfast. This was probably two years ago. I don't even know if they still serve breakfast.

Other than that, it's a call to the local taqueria and tacos in a paper bag FTW. Three tacos for $2.99 and a cup of coffee.

That used to be awesome! I haven't had one in over 20 years, but when I delivered newspapers, the local Whataburger was one of my route stops...and I'd grab one for breakfast. Delicious!

Braum's sausage biscuit is solid when it's fresh, but it was pretty hit or miss....haven't had one since March.

I was not aware Braum's served breakfast. There is one in Carrollton, but not really close to me so I don't get there very often.

Breakfast Tacos at the Laredo Taco Company. They are in a lot of Stripes and Circle K Stores in the Hill Country, South Central Texas and South West Texas. Made as you order them.

Yep. They also do any size soft drink for $1 from 6 to 10:30 a.m. They did have their sausage biscuits for $1 as well, but not sure if they are still on sale. Their big country breakfast isn't bad, especially if it's hot. I rarely got to eat it hot, just because it was about 20 minutes from the nearest Braum's to my office.

Well, out here in BFE I don't have a lot of choices. My general go to is the sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin or a sausage, egg, and cheese taquito. I do have a Sonic and Jack-in-the-Crack here locally but have never tried their breakfast offerings. Nearest Chick Fil A is 50 miles away and ALWAYS crowded.

Before the pandamic hit last March we picked our grandkids up every Wednesday morning and took them to Chick-fil-A for breakfast, and then dropped them off at school.. I became a big fan of the hash brown scramble bowl (also served as a burrito), and ordered it almost every week. We have not been able to do this for 10 months, and I haven't been thru any breakfast drive thrus since either.

Most times, an apple from my kitchen, always Gala.

There is a place next to my work called Human Bean. They have a ham and swiss croissant thats really really good.

My favorite is the El Gran Tocino breafast taco with their homemade pico de gallo.

Braums has great options for breakfast.

I have a Phd in drive through dining! Get the DQ biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Fast, cheap, filling. You'll be back at lunch for the chicken and dumplings.

If y'all are ever down south, swing by Bill Miller's and get the Bill Miller Breakfast. Eggs, beans, hash browns, sausage, tortillas and a sweet tea. Now that I think about it, that's gotta be the GOAT FF breakfast.

Rudy’s has the BEST breakfast burritos. I like Braum’s sausage biscuits and gravy too. Mickey D’s breakfast is hard to beat.

I do love me some Rosa's breakfast. Their spicy potatoes and chorizo beans are legit.

Meh. Their chorizo eggs are pretty good, but nothing else. The eggs are overcooked and unsalted, and you can't even taste the bacon they use. Their tortillas and salsa are always great, but I'd rather eat them on a delicious lunch meal than waste them on flavorless eggs.

Whataburger is pretty good. BOB with Sausage, egg and cheese. Breakfast platter with Sausage, biscuit with an order of Sausage gravy on the side is not bad. Just as good as what few restuaurants that still breakfast for the most part. Gravy comes off a truck at most places now days, its all the same if it does.

Chic Fil a is not bad once you throw some salt and pepper on it.

Carl's Jr biscuits are awesome. I used to drive by Carl's Jr on the way to work and it was always a great breakfast. Not many around here though. The last time I ate Chic-fil-a breakfast i thought the biscuit was a little too dry, soft and crumbly. I like McD sausage egg and cheese or whataburger whatever...

You take the breakfast platter at whataburger, get an extra hashbrown and an extra sausage, you chop it up wth the eggs and cover that and the biscuit in sausage gravy, then you tobacco the hell out it. You are welcome

McGee's Country Store in Lewisville serves a sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich that is delicious. Get there early as the landscapers buy most of their inventory.

Halls' Grocery at 121/Glade. Great breakfast tacos - Brisket, rib, bacon, sausage they have it all and they are excellent. They go super fast. Usually wiped out by 8:00am
