Menopause? I’ll give up the thermostat for the remote and walk around naked when I’m hot and wear sweats and build a fire if it’s cold. Not giving up the remote!! cheers

Mine will sit around with a blanket all winter when it is 68 inside and pizz and moan about how cold it is. Come 10:00 PM when the thermostat drops to 65, she will be laying in bed with a thin sheet over her and one leg out while complaining how hot it is. In summer, it’s a [censored] shoot, the odd creature will change daily on this.

Mine always has something to say when she puts her head in a closet or pantry. Oh and she always looks out her side window in the vehicle and starts a conversation.

My wife pays the electric bill so she's good about the temps. She turned the heat off last night, woke up to a nice 64 degree house this morning. Love it!

This and no kidding! And she knows my hearing is not good. Walking to my home office, she will start a sentence in the far corner of the living room which at best sounds like some mumbling to me then enters and I hear "so what do you think"? I gave up trying to explain this phenomenon to her. I just answer with "I don't know".

Oh man, I get this all the time, but she can’t hear me when we’re in the same room, or at least she claims not too. And she always accused me of being loud.

Re: Is this your Wife? - 01/04/21 04:50 PM

68 in the Winter is freezing in the house.

68 in the Summer would also be freezing in the house. hmmm

Our thermostat stays on 70 or 71 during the Winter until bedtime then it goes down to 69 or 70.

During the Summer it stays 71 most of the time until bedtime then it goes to 70. cheers

So when we were traveling to S Texas from AR I wanted to go around the toll road by Tyler. I told her 1 hour out to figure out the exit on I-20 so we could bypass it on the west. WELL... just north of Tyler she starts looking for the small FM roads. Let's just say we took a tour of the countryside around Van with a 62' long rig and 13'5" tall.

Just set your GPS to "Avoid Toll Roads" and you can always take the scenic route! woot

Re: Is this your Wife? - 01/07/21 01:47 AM

Pretty much. Before forced to buy heat-air system few years ago 98% of our heat was the wood stove. I'd have the temp up in the 80s, sweating wearing only the undies, and she'd be in flannel PJs wearing a flees robe and beaching about how the hail could I walk around the house like that when it's so freezing cold.

My ex couldn't. She did not understand compass directions either only right left. As far as temperature sensitive wifes just buy them a heated throw. My ex left hers and I use it in the winter. It works great. I had my programmable tstat set at 62 while working and have just left it there since I quit. If in house during the day I just turn on the heated throw. It is like a giant pillow case so I guess not technically a throw. I learned from using an electric blanket at deer lease to put them under you not over so I just drape it over the chair.

65 in the winter, 68 in the summer. More road trips in the winter as we are saving $. I wear double clothing all year long as I have lost the battle too many times.

I think this is pretty common with females. Tell a woman something like "the store is on the SW corner of Main and 1st street" and they just give you that "huh?" look.
