MOLES!

Darn things are eating up the yard in Quitman and digging a new basement under the house. Looking for a solution that works that mom can implement herself. We have several traps and they work, but she can’t set them herself. Have spread a deterrent but its expensive and she has trouble with the heavy bags and spreader.

Any thoughts?

That’s on the agenda, but have to wait until the right time.

smoke bombs, tractor supply, atwoods, hardware store, lowes, home depot.

take a long screwdriver and poke till you find the tunnel, widen hole with screwdriver, light fuse and push in with screwdriver. cover the hole and walk away.

smoke will not hurt her but stinks of sulphur. been really effective here (had to quit the tannerite treatments, too much dirt work after)

I used smoke bombs.

It took about a month but it killed them all.

The Sulphur kills them or just repels them?

Have you tried the Rodenator?

It kills them and more importantly the smoke killls the babies so they don't multiply.

this, probably have to do it a few times to get them all, smoke only travels so far.

find a fresh mound, use the screwdriver method to find the tunnel.

My lab just pulled one out of the hole....I’m going to get smoke bombs now

Should I put down Grub killer too or is it useless right now?

We had the same issue until we bought a, gopher hawk Lowes and Amazon. We catch the he'll out of them. cleaned our yard out of them

Careful with the smoke bombs . They used to contain cyanide gas (not sure if they still do) . Like Hop says : use a screwdriver to find the tunnel . Start on the flat side of the mound .

they are safe, sulphur gas/smoke now. harmless but stink bad.

pretty sure cyanide has been illegal for a while now, for anti vermin stuff anyway.

Get you a couple barn cats. Big dogs in the yard will work too.

I use a poison it’s like a rubber worm. Poke your finger down in their tunnel and drop it in. They come to block the hole and eat it. It works. I get them coming from my neighbors yard and poke Extra holes besides the one I poison And usually they don’t ever fill all the holes.
