Eagles are playing with practice squad players in almost every position on offense except QB. Their o-line as bad as the Cowboys. Wentz can’t do it all himself, so it’s gonna be ugly for both teams.

I'm going to watch as long as I can stand it - probably one quarter and laugh all the way. It's about time JJ got his due. He has made the franchise very valuable for his back pocket and shafted the fans almost the entire time. I don't see them winning any more games.

I think Pollard would do just fine. Trade Zeke for a QB, but that wouldn't happen, the rest of the league values QB's above all. Jerruh saddled Zeke with a contract no one would want to take on. Trade zeke for some very good lineman and tank the season and let Dak get healthy. Draft for lines. Come back with a revamped lines from the Zeke trade and give Pollard the rock at starting TB. See what this team can do with 2 good lines again.

Zeke with a decent o-line is fine with passing threats we have if Dak is back. O-line sucks and has for couple years. Defense under new scheme has been terrible. Both have to be fixed for any success.

It's amazing to me that the talent dropoff between a second and third string qb is so great. There are literally 100s of qbs floating around college ball that never see a down in the NFL, you are telling me that a couple hundred grand a year cant get one that can throw the ball any better than that. Usually there is a huge drop off from 2nd string to third string QB n the NFL
2nd string guy is usually serviceable. 3rd string guy is Canadian Football League or some indoor league level of talent.

All I know is it would be insane to pay A QB 40M a year to play on this team, it would be a huge waste of money. They need lots of defensive help, they can save a ton of money by not signing Dak and cutting a few other players, they would be 80M plus under the cap, you can sign quite a few free agents with that. I think they can get out of the Zeke deal after the 21 season without a huge cap hit, same with Cooper. They will have a shot at one of the top QB's in the draft, with some luck they could rebuild in a couple of years.

Dak's agent is the culprit in this deal, there was a top 5 contract on the table for Dak for a long time, and he is not a top 5 QB, now Dak has a bad injury and there is no telling how well he will play from now on. If Dak is so great then the Cowboys should easily be able to get a couple of first round picks for him, do you really believe a team would give two 1's for him ? There is a big reason the Cowboys have not just given in and paid Dak whatever he wanted, its simple, THEY do not believe he is worth it. The Cowboys just need to start over, take a gamble on a top rated QB that will be cheap for 5 years. All I am saying is if you have the chance to draft a QB that you feel will be a 10-15 year franchise QB you would be nuts not to do it. Then Dak can go to the Patriots and win SB's.

I don’t believe Dax is a top 5 quarterback, I do think he is a good quarterback tho. That is because he was a threat to run. His career path changes if he can’t run like before. The NE game plans for quarterbacks and receivers is very complicated and a lot of good players can’t be successful there. Several players have been traded for two first rounders, you are right on the length of the contract, Cowboys wanted 5 years because it would be much more affordable in years 3 through 5, so it was about his value.

He got hurt along with the entire O line and several defenders, if Dak was not hurt the record would most likely be the same as it is now. I am not denying that Dak is a very good QB, I just don't feel like the Cowboys can field a team around him to win with if they give him 40M a year, thats just my opinion, everybody has one.

I have come to the conclusion that the cowboys will never make the super bowl again, much less win one. They are a flawed organization. Their thought process is wrong. I think the lack of true football people at the top is showing. They are a world class marketing company but that's where it stops.

I would have to agree with you on the organization and I am a big fan of Jerry Jones, it has been pretty much a dog and pony show for a long time. Sometimes you have to replace the guy at the top.

Jerry's problems are 1) he is not good at picking talent and 2) he is not a good leader for a football organization, he under minds his coaches leadership is the main issue. He is good at PR, attracting talent, and managing the cap.

Who knows, let's say the cows draft 5th and select Justin Fields, there is no guarantee he works out and now you've burned a 5th round pick on him! I'm just more of a believer that a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. We know what we've got with Dak. He can win games and be elite at times. Build around him, give him the chance and get rid of Ewok and use that money for defense. Pollard can tow the rock well enough. Game has changed. I think you’ve completely whiffed on Jerry’s main problem. While both things you mentioned are accurate, THE problem is that Jerry doesn’t agree with you.

There are a couple of ways to skin the cat, I am drafting an elite college QB if I get the chance, those opportunities do not come along very often. If you take away Dak's rookie season he is basically a 500 QB, and Dak was not the reason they won 13 games his rookie season, but he did very well in not turning the ball over. Compare Dalton and Dak's first four seasons, they both had good teams around them, their records are very similar, who is to say that Dak does not end up about like Dalton ? If Dak is who some say he is then the Jets would happily trade that first pick for Dak and the Cowboys first pick, would you make that trade if you were the Cowboys ? I sure as hell would.

I remember back at the end of the 2016 season how in love you guys were with Dak. Hell, HK predicted he would be a Hall of Famer!
