We don't get much frozen water here, either. If you try to walk on it you fall through most of the time.

Need a goal quick. That will require us putting it on net though. If the game plan does not involve put every puck you can on net we are in trouble

Power play looked good there. Just didn’t find the back of the net. They have at least some of their swagger back. Hopefully it is enough

I can’t think of 2 more southernmost hockey teams that could be in a Canada playing for the Stanley Cup. Great season Stars, farther than any other DFW team will go this year but wish they could have pulled it off.

In the final minute of the game, I was hoping that Dallas would score at least one goal so that the kid from Plano would have the Cup-clinching goal.

As I was watching the games in each round leading up to the finals, I thought the Eastern conf. was stronger than the West.
I also thought this was the only team that could beat the Stars. Things might have been different if Dallas hadn't lost the 3 starters.
Losing Faska hurt a lot. Go Stars!!!

Helluva run for the Stars. Went much farther than most thought they could. They showed some grit and determination and never gave up. Texas should be proud. I know all of these players are from other parts of the world other than Texas, but they showed some Texas fight in this playoff run. Thank you guys for your effort.

Great run by the stars and congrats to both for playing for the hardest trophy in all of sports to win!
Now let’s hope stars go and get a top free agent goal scorer to make this team better!
Go Stars!

Re: Game 6, Y'all Ready? - 09/29/20 04:07 AM
I think the Stars system has hurt the goal scorers. During the playoffs when the Stars were forced to go into the offensive mode against Calgary and Colorado they averaged 4 goals a game but they also gave up more goals. This was more or less Montgomery's system and Bowness couldn't throw everything out and start over at mid season. I am sure there will be personell changes and who knows Bowness may not come back so things could be turned upside down.

I loathe losing, and I hate moral victories.
Regardless, congratulations to Tampa Bay for winning the Cup.
Congratulations to Dallas for getting to the Cup. It's been too long.

TB was the better team. Dallas was the most "team" oriented and fought through the most adversity to get to where they got. Gutsy performance in The Bubble.

Losing Faksa, Comeau, Hintz, Bishop, and Stephen Johns hurt the Stars immensely.
Wish they would lose Bishop permanently. Unfortunately, he's under contract until 2023.
Khoudobin is a UFA this year. He'll be gone.
Bishop will get hurt again after giving up a goal on the first shot and we'll be looking at Jake to hold down the fort.
That being said, a lot of young, fast players got some great experience in this playoff run. They'll be fun to watch next year.
