WTH Both Texas and aTm win and drop in the poll. Texas from 8 to 9 when 2 team above them lose, Aggies drop from 10 to 13.

Probably because they both looked like dog turds.

Both schools looked awful. Aggies even more than the Horns. The Ags were fumbling, dropping passes, missing blocks and the tackling was pitiful. I guess I'm thankful we started with Vandy because these next two weeks are going to be brutal. Mond belongs on the bench but Jimbo is committed to him.

At least the Horns redeemed themselves in the final minutes. Those Red Raiders almost pulled it off.

And what about OU? Wow.

LSU didn't surprise me as much as OU even though last year it was a really good game (K State).

Mike Leach in the SEC is going to be PAINFUL!

Polls this year are meaningless, especially at this time.

The polls shouldn’t even start until week five of a normal season. This season doesn’t even count*.

*unless Virginia Tech wins the championship. Then it counts.

It only took Mike Leach 1 game to set an SEC passing yards record in a game with 623 yds. Florida ran up 623 yards in their game and 86 points in the game. Strong defense in SEC, too.

Probably giving us credit for the game we played before that....

I think that’s the key. This season is different. I applaud all the conferences, individual school staffs the coaches and not to forget the players in all sports for pulling this off. Huge amount of work, research, safety precautions to get it rolling. Good on them!

Gotta remember those polled are sportscasters.

These are among the laziest people in the country.

It’s easy to just rank the usuals highly until records prove otherwise. I have seen this play out many times. Kansas gets a top 15 ranking at times not based on what they have done, nor their potential, but based on the name KANSAS. Same thing happens in football.

I saw nothing about the performance of ATM or tu that suggests either belong in the ranking for the record. Shameful performances from both

Texas needs to be unranked every year, and remain unranked until the end of the season. Then before bowls assign a ranking based on performance. The debate would then be do they put Iowa State or Texas at #23.

Both are overrated. My guess is aggies finish 3-7 maybe 4-6 on the 10 game slate and Texas probably 6-4 on the 10 game slate.

Winning 3 would be a miracle for my aggies I'm afraid
