Turns out that in addition to being a world renowned cheater and liar, he is also a spineless bike shop founder. I hope someone burns it down.

Walking away from a $314,000 contract to service cop bikes is not spineless.

I wouldn't call it spinless, they are taking a moral stand, but their morals may be different than your's.

On another note: $314K ? And I thought I spent too much money on my bike!

When you have 75,000,000 in the bank 314k is the equivalent of about 200.00 to the average person. Yeah it's a cowardly spineless move.
Just another example of trying to keep police from doing their job, and supporting a socialist organization that could care less about the life of law abiding African American citizens.

My thoughts exactly. In Police Work even the smallest lie can cost you your career, yet they deal with a guy who built his entire brand on lies. My guess is some one in city government demanded this contract in the first place.

Re: If there was any doubt Lance Armstrong is a POS - 08/11/20 11:57 AM

The Austin police officer who is in charge of the Bike program posted in a LE FB page that explained three employees were upset about the injustice so the managers decided to cancel the contract. I emailed the shop expressing my displeasure and received a reply saying they understood but were standing by their decision. Yes, POS!

We cannot keep doing this. You can’t call someone an idiot in all caps, and then use plane instead of plain.

I’m not asking for everything to be proofread. But, when you call someone an idiot, you have to proofread. Do it. It won’t take that long.

Agreed. I saw a facebook post the other day where some liberal was calling people "ignorent racists" for disagreeing with the local school district hiring a "director of cultural development". I couldn't stop laughing.

As for Lance, he's been a tool for a long time. Not surprised by this. And yes, it does make him spineless to give in to a mob just because he's scared of the consequences of standing up for what is so obviously right.

Why did they contract with him to start with considering his history? He's not likely to lose anything from it, and they'll find another source probably at less cost to the city. All the contards will eventually get over it and quickly move on to another libtard rant. That's life these days.

His choice. I am a friend to the Austin police.

Riding a bike is good exercise. All forms of exercise is good for us. I wish I could still ride.

My brother still has a lot of friends in the Austin PD and their job is to protect the city and the people in it.
Hopefully Lance will regret this decision.

Their business, their right. No different than the bakery owner that refused to make a wedding cake for a gay marriage. I am a fan of business owners running their business as they see fit. I realize I always have the choice to do business with them or not if I disagree.
That being said I hope APD returns the favor and only responds to calls there of a life and death nature.

I agree with every thing you say except the APD making calls. Armstrong pays his taxes just like every one else and is due the the benefits of a taxpaying citizen, including police protection for all instances.

I prefer cops to do their jobs same as anyone else in any field. It has to 100% suck though to go out and respond to calls on businesses and individuals that hate you, what you stand for and want to do away with your job. But hey, I bet they do it with a smile and professionalism as 99% of LEOs do.
As I said its the business owner's right to run their place as they want. But with all things certain choices may have certain outcomes down the road.

My college experience was fine. It was during my 8 year military service and a little afterwords. No anti-America in my vocabulary, utmost respect for LE and would never take advantage of young impressionable minds. Carry on from on high.

I think they should make the calls based on social justice, race, restorative justice, caste, and as to whether they have qualified immunity.

I'm confident the Austin Social Workers can handle any problems said bike shop may encounter. TG is right Armstrong has the right to be the biggest scumbag he can be, and the Austin P.D. has the right to put any call coming from that particular shop low on the priority list if the social workers can't handle it.

I wore my spandex for the 43rd day in a row. About 600 miles and 40,000 feet of climbing. Tour De France Starts Aug 29th.

Names to look out for are:

Egan Bernal (Team Ineos)
Nairo Quintana (Arkéa-Samsic)
Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ)
Mikel Landa (Bahrain McLaren)
Steven Kruijswijk (Jumbo-Visma)
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-QuickStep)

Peter Sagan is sure to entertain with last second epic sprints that will send shockwaves thru the cycling community.

More to come.
