Bug ID - 06/13/20 12:07 AM

I've never seen one of these before. It just landed on my drink. When it flies, it has bright green wings and a red body. Anyone know what it is?

I do not know what kind of insect that is, but I can list out a dozen or so exquisite insecticides that will kill that thing deader than dead.

Looks like it would either sting you or bite you.

Saw a bug the other day was was a shiny metallic blue and thought the same thing.

Might be a blister bug, or maybe a cottonwood bore.

I aint never seen one like that before. If that would have landed on my wifes drink glass, she'd still be running and screaming!!!

And I'd be by the pool drinking beer and laughing. But when she did decide to quick running and screaming it very quickly becomes all my fault. But I'm used to it after all these years.

We call em run bugs. If they land on your drink, you get the runs.
