Thank You Men
You might try this. It's a hospital indemnity plan that pays a fixed amount for services. Anywhere from 1000-5000 a day for hospitalization, upto 500 a day for ER visits, ambulance, etc. I combined it with an accident policy that adds more in case of an accident like broken bone. Both cost me under $150 a month.
https://www.uhone.com/shop/#/plans/hospitalindemnityAll, PLEASE be VERY cautious with these plans. These are limited benefit plans and they truly leave a LOT of risk for major services and leave a lot of high end risk. They work pretty well on the small stuff, but lack a "stop loss" on them, which is typically what we all look for from ANY insurance we carry. "Stop Loss" is the number set on an insurance policy that YOU are responsible for, then the insurance picks up 100% of covered benefits after that. So if you have a stop loss of $10,000 on your insurance policy, and you run up a bill of $500,000 of covered benefits on that plan, you're responsibility is $10,000. On an indemnity/limited benefit plan, you have NO stop loss and that $500,000 bill will likely end up costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars and covering very little.
If you have ANY questions regarding health insurance, policy options, or even questions about a policy that you are currently on, PLEASE reach out to me and we can talk about fishing AND health insurance. I am always available and I am a broker, so I offer every type of plan imaginable for individuals, families and small businesses and it costs ZERO to talk.
