saw grapefruit sized hit edmond Okieland a yr or so before I moved, that was one heck of a storm.

You would think that would shatter when it hit anything but a pool. If it’s real, it’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen

I've seen softball size hail, and I hope to never again, but they would explode hitting pavement, but would go completely intact through roofs and the one's I picked up were intact and sunk halfway into my lawn.

The largest hailstone recovered in the United States fell in Vivian, South Dakota, on June 23, 2010, with a diameter of 8 inches and a circumference of 18.62 inches. It weighed 1 lb 15 oz.

Weather channel showed this pic this morning. More to scale. The hailstone was being held by a youngster, so the hand were not that of a grown up. I am a believer now. Weather channel estimated it at 5 inches across.

Search how many people got seriously f@&*ed up at Mayfest in Fort Worth in '96 or '97. baseball and softball sized hail.

Helped track that storm across Tarrant and Dallas Counties.
